Next wave from the cheater's Unit incoming. I hope they read what their buds posted before and how easily they were shot down so they don't repeat the same discredited arguments.

I love how everyone thinks PGI is competent enough to code some kind of cheat detection but they managed to forget to add dropships to the new CW map until like 6 hours after the patch.

Hats off to PGI - in under a week or two they've implemented a great cheat detection system. Gotta love the dang product!

Can you please outline (and be explicit) how you were able to detect the third party tools in question?

Why would they do that? Then the cheaters know how not to get caught.... Think

Agreed, I don't think this necessarily reflects poorly on Th3B33f. Also, not looking left and right for cheaters.

If anything, I respect the guy more, since he went out and took shots to the CT for a friend.

actually, you will see the burden of proof lies on those who say the state executed this person for suspicious reasons and not on the state to provide evidence of guilt

You do know this has been around for the last 3 years, right? They just made a post addressing the fact that a big ban happened.

Then they should be able to say that they have done this. Which they have not yet.

Have you spoken to the person in question to ask them directly if they've been contacted by PGI? If so, are you 100% certain that they have no reason to lie about it? Why should anyone from PGI post here or anywhere else that they have or have not done so? Is it it because the person in question has, by your own words, been a well paying customer?

At least to answer the last question for you, it was rhetorical. Despite what cynicism says about people with money getting away with both proverbial and literal murder, simply having or having spent money does not preclude you from being punished for breaking the law and/or rules.

Still trying to figure out what the actual issue NKVA has here is, nobody has clarified or otherwise answered the questions I asked.

hello cool friends and fellow robot men

i would like to appeal to this thread, for you see, not only does everyone in this unit constantly use hacks, they also have me, an innocent counter strike player, locked up in the basement of the NKVA Gaming House, forcing me to play thunderbolts when I clearly stated that 'ballistics are mega rad'

please send help immediately, i wish to escape from this hell

Makes ya think...does PGI use annihilator mechs (particularly Gausszilla) to deal with hackers?

If they're gonna go that far, they may as well reach into WizKids territory and bring in 150-ton three-legged superheavies.

This is a pretty obscene and foolish argument to take. You do realize that there are companies that provide anti-cheating detection software just like companies such as Norton and Panda provide anti-virus software for your computer. All a company needs to do is plug it into their own infrastructure and they're good to go (of course companies can also do all kinds of stuff on their own, too, and they do it).

This argument is like saying that C++ programmers are magicians with computer hardware because they've got programs that turn all their code into the 1's and 0's that actually drive the thing.

It's called middleware for a reason. It's just like going to the dealership in order to pick up a car of whatever manufacturer you like the most. That's why they're called "middlemen". Then, just like the programs that PGI uses to help them find cheaters, you can take that car you buy and do whatever aftermarket modifications you want to it, or pay someone to do them for you, just like PGI tailors all of their cheat-sniffer programs and tools to their own needs.

Not cheating tools. PGI detecting, and banning cheaters.

The Poseidon and Ares were 125 tons & 135 tons respectively, if that's what you're referring to. Omega was the only 150-ton mech, but it walks on two legs ;)

Yes, I watched most of the matches in question on the tournament stream.

Yes, there was more than reasonable suspicion to launch an investigation.

What many of you don't realize is that the player in question was someone that PGI wants to have around.

They have no reason to maliciously ban said player.

I am confident after watching the matches and knowing who the player is that this player would not have been banned if there was no hard evidence of cheating.

It would certainly be quite a feat, considering this is a CryEngine game.
