Cicada should have a bit more arm armor, it can soak damage on them pretty well. The Atlas is too hot for a brawler IMO, but it is so much better than the current champion build that it doesn't really matter. Hunchback is a little unorthodox but it would work well. Cataphract with 1 hoverjet? Why even bother. The brawler victor is similar; why bring a Victor if it won't fly?

The others I looked at seemed ok.

I'm saddened that the AC/10 Cent isn't winning.
Don't like dual Gauss+XL on the 'Pract. UAC's would be better. (The Jager is a better dual Gauss champ.)
Ridiculous that the Wolverine doesn't have max torso armor.
New players shouldn't be subjected to the Splat Cat. A mixed loadout would be better.

Other than those 4 complaints, the rest of the proposed champs are looking pretty good.

Place likes on the posts in threads themselves (after looking at the proposed builds) then, that's how you use your voice in this instance.

Seriously, nobody seems to have even been bothering, there are barely any posts not on the first page of the topics in question that have more than one-two votes. Right now it's looking like the majority of the votes will be for Th3B33f's builds not because they're good (not a statement as to perceived quality, I'm of mixed opinions about them myself) but because he posted them quickly and most of them are on the first page of a given champion 'mech's topic.

Go to the subforum for it, look at the builds, and vote for the ones you like. The current leaders aren't really representative; not enough people have cast their voices in.

Giving the community a voice in Champ mechs is a great idea, but the execution so far is haphazard (which is not unexpected in a forum).

That said, I hope these mechs don't automatically win and get put into the game. Tina should collect the top 3 or 4 voted builds for each mech, and then create an actual poll for easy voting.

They aren't exactly what I would build but most are sticking to 2 weapon systems and we're not wasting assaults as being LRM boats which is great. They don't have to be cutting-edge meta. I am fine with most of these.

What would rek a few of these is if they change IS LL GH back to 2 but I guess that can be fixed by adjusting the weapon groups to separate 1 LL from the other 2.

I don't understand why this whole champion rebuild thing wasn't in the main news feed on the home page. I only noticed this a couple days ago thru Facebook...

Honestly I did not know at all until I saw this thread and I've been reading the forums (but mostly newbie+general only). By the time I found out it was already way too late to submit a build.
