Is anyone else suffering a frame rate drop since the last patch ... I thought the idea of the patch was to improve playability . . . I currently have frame rates of ~ 20 in game and only of 32 fps in the mechbay . . . I used to get frame rates of about 60-90 but they are dropping bit by bit . . .
Yes I have latest drivers etc ... have run fixer app and reinstalled . . . ?
Any thoughts ?

Its the game engines fault it requires too much from a computer its not all your fault it gets slow its PGIs but they can't help it. I know your pain but they got themselves into this and they need to fix it so it plays decent across all decent PCs. By that it would be hard for me to explain but not something that has primitive graphics cards more like almost to the current generation but not really.

I get random FPS drops alot when somebody dies, or when an ammo explosion goes off.

Other times, its I just have no idea what is going on, but yeah.. Drops from 90 down to 5-10 fps for a few seconds, then back to normal.

Generally speaking though, my framerate has gone up quite a bit in the last 2 patches even though there are these anomalies like that which keep happening.

The only bad framerate I get is when I get slammed by a bunch of LRMs or when I walk backwards through my own heat cloud

My fps have also dropped a lot since last patch, almost halved from 20 fps to 10, I was so excited to be able to play with my light mechs ... :(

Well I can no longer play my framerate is so slow.

Never had this problem before.

I support the game, spent hundreds of dollars on it and can't play. This is getting old.

I did the repair tool, blah blah blah. Why did it work before and not now.

When I exit the game and start again, it starts out at 60+ fps then drops to red zone in game.

It's almost enough to get me to quit this game (the onlly game I currently play).

Please fix this mess.

slide show warrior is a good description.

I've yet to experience anything bellow 50 tbh. Some slight dips here and there when lots of things are going on but other than that, nada.

Specs:
i7-4770k 3.5ghz
16gb ram
GTX 970 4gb GDDR5
5760*1080 resolution
FPS stable between 50-60 with nimor drops to mid 40s on certain maps.

I haven't really noticed any big change in FPS but my hit reg has taken (off and on) a beating.

Ive been getting a lot of strange activity since last patch. Lots of lag spikes and rubber banding.

Ive had times when I knew I was getting attacked but could not see the enemy, then suddenly they appear standing right next to me. One of those times I found myself surrounded by Assaults so it wasnt like they could have snuck up on me. It was quite surprising.

It usually levels out if I restart the game though.

Edit- Ive also had times when my cockpit doesnt even show up

Check if the patch changed your old settings. Tune them back if they changed. Otherwise, tune down settings if possible.

The past 2 patch have not impacted my FPS.

SPECs (I'm going to get flamed by players who detest outdated rigs)

Win7 64-bit, running MWO 64-bit
i7-2620M (2.7 Ghz, 3.5 Ghz turbo)
8 GB DDR3 ram, 1333 MHz
Nvidia GT520M, 1 GHz memory

Setting: 1280 x 720 resolution
DX9, AA off, everything else on Low except Texture at Medium.

FPS: 35 - 40 on HPG, 18 - 25 on Viridian Bog / Mining.

I may be planning to upgrade soon, however.

I have seen these odd death lag spikes as well. Not even someone near me. I think, but not sure, restarting the game entirely helps.

Restarting seems to help but then I remembered I hadn't restarted/closed some of my google chrome tabs in a while. I had one instance of chrome using over 1gig of memory all by itself... may be time to reinstall

May want to check MWO's priority in the task manager. Set it to realtime if you haven't already.

Sometimes when I tab out, the framerate poops. This does the trick usually.

I found the same in firefox and I think it was Flash. I haven't had Adobe Flash on any of my computers for over 2 years now.

Same, oftentimes when somebody dies the game sorta pauses for a bit. Also, being very close range and trying to aim at the enemy tends to tank my framerate. It's funny because I swear it's only when I put my crosshair over them.

If it happens once, it happens again and again. Restarting game makes performance weirdness go away, until next time. I think I only get these issues when running the game for a long while.

Flash and FF have been really ****** up for a few months now. I don't know what's going on. Seems with every update to FF and every update to flash, things just get worse between them. Chrome works fine, but I don't like Chrome. FF in general has just been worse and worse since about 2009, so disappointing :(

Isnt real-time... really unadvisable? Or is it just a boogeyman thrown on the web?

Yeah, I had a frame drop of about 10FPS, which was pretty huge on my machine.

I switched from DX9 to DX11, and gained about 20, lol. I thought there wasn't supposed to be much difference between the two? The trouble is, i've got all sorts of graphical and input wierdness in DX11. My hitreg seems to be non-existant. I know hitreg probably has nothing to do with it, but i'm a paranoid soul, so i'll probably switch back to DX9. Hmmm. What a rambling little story.
