It will be a good metric to see how many founders are still interested enough to even vote...

I took a long break from the game after it left beta; I wasn't happy with the state of the game.

But I came back in December last year after I heard CW finally got implemented, and I've been playing since.

I don't recall the majority of them bothering with the forums even back in CB, TBH.

Hardly. As i said in my first post. Many don't bother with forums, and a lot of people even if they where active and playing and knew about the vote wouldn't bother because its very obvious which map needs work the most... And that already has a crushing majority.

Numbers here are interesting, but not really indicative of how many founders are still playing or interested in the game overall.

Back when everybody on the forum was a founder? Or back when goldies have to signify their name in the credits?

Even when the forums was almost all founders, there still was rarely that many that bothered to comment. Heck the largest poll ever was the anti 3pv one end that got what 3-4000 total votes?

I am one of like 8-10 from my multi game TS that still plays all the time, another is a floater that comes in once in a while to play. We were the only ones who ever bothered with the forums and I dont think he bothered to vote.

Since the result doesn't matter in the long run (all of the maps will get worked on), and it's already 67% for Forest colony, I'm guessing that interest in the poll itself will be pretty low. I don't think it will really reflect interest in the game very well.

EDIT: Clarity.

I havent played for a while. I think i did a round or at the weekend in founders hunchback, then realised that swtor were doing 12x XP for subscribers and went off and played that instead.

MWO needs "something", to give it more depth at the moment and im not sure what.

That, and im also tired with terrible hit reg and playing with over 100 ping.

I've also been put off with the focus on cash store only new variants for existing mechs, instead of actually releasing new chassis. While im not necessarily against new variants coming in for existing mechs, it just seems like a cheap refocus away from genuine new content.

a good portion of the vote are my 627 alt accounts.

627 * 40 (minimum to get a vote) = $25,080

damn you dropped a lot of coin. lol

from what I understand (having been here the entire time)...

There were intially around 70k founders...

After refunds they had around 25k founders who stuck around...
and it seems like only 2000 still care enough to vote....which is kinda informative...

I care enough to have played a few games this weekend (5 points in the challenge lol), voted in the poll, and made this post. That's about it though, otherwise I'm pretty much taking a hiatus from MWO. FWIW I voted Forest because it was already way in the lead and to me, it was a toss-up between it and Frozen as both maps are simply too small for 12v12. Truth is I'm sick of all the maps and can barely stand to play more than 1-2 PUG games at a time these days, and the the wait times for CW have been so unbearable I'm just unwilling to queue up for CW at all anymore.

Regardless of the vote, it's been cool to see anywhere from 4-8 founders on my team on a regular basis in the last week. :)

Oh, and for the record - Founder here, been here since CB and the longest I've gone without a drop was 1 week... When I was camping. :P

My Wave 3 purchase says I'll be around for some time to come as well.
