Only buy it if you want premium time and colors. Mechs look kind of bad.

#1 - I have to buy because my current game goal is to own and fully master ALL available IS chassis.

#2 - I want to support this Intellectual Property.

I bought it because I like to play lots of different mechs, sure, and the Mauler looked like an attractive proposition, for sure... but my main motivation is that PGI has been doing things I like as of late. They are redoing the solo queue maps, they had devoted enough to CW, and so on. They aren't perfect - the effed up design on that generator in Taiga hasn't even been acknowledged as far as I know let alone fixed - but I want to support them for continuing development on MWO instead of letting it stagnate and die and then turning off the servers.

EDIT: I should say that the Crab may end up being the second good mech in the pack together with the Mauler due to its shape and profile being so different from most other IS mechs - and especially IS mediums.

The wolfhound will be the fastest 35 ton mech in the game.

More over you can fit Max Engine, 1 Large / ER Large, 4 Mediums + Endo, FF, DHS and Max armor.

The crab has the potential to be an excellent hill-humper / peek-a-boo mech combined with potentially great hitboxes.

Fastest =/= most maneuverable. I'll take 150 and a JJ over 170 unless it's uber quirked (the LCT is crazy maneuverable because of quirks, the COM isn't)

The Crab is pretty, so I might get it. If the IS dropdeck tonnage was still 250t, I could use King Crab, Crab, Crab, Crab and the world would be perfect.

As the number was recently lowered, I am no longer as tempted to buy so many Crabs.

I just realized this fact....
My hopes and dreams are now ruined...
