PGI's fixation on nerfing clan tech and mechs simply killed this game, at least for clans.

Asking for a refund on wave 3 and resistance2 packs.
Uninstaling!

Can I have your stuffs?

10:1 he doesn't follow through with the uninstall.
2:1 he'll wish he didn't refund his packs (OMG OP!)
100:1 even if he follows through with it all, he'll still troll these forums and tell people how bad a game he doesn't play is.

Not purchasing more packs is exactly what people need to do. I was about to buy a stalker **** pack and I would of been even more pissed than I am now. I just wasted c bills on a second raven 2x. I have wasted too much money on mechs that are quirked and then requirked in the opposite direction. I for one don't like the gauss mechanic and hate missiles. I don't like pgi taking the customization out of my mechs. Clan mechs already are limited with too many locked components.

Make that extra 2X an lrm raven :D

Lol @ all the people who think the firestarters were OP. If you still havent figured out how to fight against lights (leg them, obviously) after all these years, then you are just bad. The queue numbers don't lie, and lights shouldn't be further punished just because scrubs can't figure out how to aim for the legs and avoid engaging MPL/SPL boats inside their optimal range.

What a stupid observation you have made. Just to illustrate your lack of understanding of the issue....

So what happens when a Firestarter and a Jenner meet? The Jenner obviously just legs the Firestarter and moves on, right? Oh wait... no.... because the Firestarter can fire more lasers, more often, and even CT the Jenner before the Jenner can take one leg.

Firestarters are not "nerfed" because larger mechs couldn't deal with them, but because when it came a choice for what light you piloted it was, "ECM or Firestarter?" and even some of the ECM mechs were debatable in today's meta.

1.) *sigh* ... short-sighted, low-minded, animal-like emotionally acting people will scream "rip-off" on every nerf. Did it ever occur to you that they do it for balance reasons? Maybe they overshot the mark a little (you know, to err is human). On THAT I would even agree.

Did they? Or did PGI do it because of crybabies?

Think about it for a second. If no one cried then, no one will be crying now.

I've spent $3,000, and can say I dont feel cheated in any way. I welcome the changes, and good players will adapt and overcome, bad players will continue to whine.

I was so pissed off about the nerf I went and spent $50.00. Bought a raven just to spite them.

You guys dont seem to understand. It wasnt the laservomit that was the problem but hitboxes and mobility. Now the timber will switch too ERPPC, Gauss and still be as powerful. Stormcrow will go all streak or Gauss with 3xERML. Nothing was fixed with this at all with this new patch. Those mechs will still be as powerful as they always were just with different loadouts.

No they won't, because they will now have to take into consideration for ammo use. that is one of the reasons why people did the all laser builds, for endless DPS in CW. People can still use lasers with a tiny nerf if they have a couple.. 6% is hardly a big reduction. and then streaks or gauss have to manage ammo.

It is not like PGI didn't just have a giant event that tracked stats and builds a few weeks ago, what a shock that the top 5 mechs got a slight nerf.

the funniest are the ones talking about the huge nerf to the 2x.. One number is -4 structure, and one is 5% and 2.5%.. You are talking fractions of points here over all... but perhaps just enough to make the 2X not wanna run 3 LL's anymore, and get a bit more speed instead.. over all not a bad tweak at all. The stalker is still going to be a fine mech, as is the firestarter.

I will certainly wait and see if the storm crows and timbers, or any of these mechs vanish before i even would think about shedding a tear.

Its funny really. Clan tech is supposed to be better, The Mechs are supposed to be meaner. Clans are supposed to be able to bid their drops. dropping tonnage and numbers until, and they win the right to drop. the correct fix instead of nerfing everything ( and by this I mean both IS and Clan) until the point everyone is running the same damn thing. (like in every other MMO/PVP game) is to allow units to drop any number up to 12 inside the tonnage allowed against another 12 man, But as long as drops are set the way they are now Clan Mechs will be op. until they are nerfed to the point no one will pilot them, & the clans will dwindle, Than the will un nerf them so the clan numbers will rise, Than the y will start the cycle all over again, Just like every other PVP heavy MMO. rinse and repeat

Three THOUSAND dollars? That's ridiculous.

You need medical help.

I know many people that spend far more than that on much worse things. If he can do it and enjoys doing it, I see no problem.

I'm just shuddering thinking about what my wife would do to me if she found out that I'd spent that kind of money on a (not even particularly good) video game.

It would probably involve some kind of removal of the testicles with blunt farm tools.

The current round of quirks is PGI'S new business model. You all need to be aware of this so we can put a stop to it. They are constantly buffing under selling mechs then nerfing them after players have bought them. In the new set of nerfs they make firestarter , timbers, scarecrow, raven 2x, stalkers useless. But they provide new mechs that you can buy that do not have the nerfs, like the artic cheata, shadowcat, and cauldron born. I will not spend any more real money on this horrible business model. They need to stop trying to balance CW with nerfs. I don't play CW because it's boring. The waiting and game play is horrible. If they want my money they need to stop nerfing and buffing for cw. CW is going to be PGI downfall they need to get creative with it instead of greedy.

If you think TBRs, FS9's, Crows or Stalkers will become useless, then you are ********..
