I have been playing some form Of MW since I was 14, I am 50 now. I have thousands of hours in the cockpit. The problem is not the Mechs or the load outs. its the lack of repair, rearm & reload. Its the lack of the ability to drop 2 clan 5 Mech (or fewer) Stars against 3 IS 4 Mech lances, But since this is a 12 v 12 rodeo, we are screwed. The reason Mech 2,3,4,and Mercs was so successful, wasn't the game it was just a tool, but the fact we could create our own leagues, like BZ and other player developed community warfare, and the Stats where tracked by The Gaming Zone, this gave us the ability to Bid all aspects the drop, diff Tonnage and diff numbers. Taking the firepower away from Mechs that are supposed to be Laser chassis or have always been superior Mechs in the MW universe is sad. especially when PGI spouts off about trying to follow the Time line and lore. We are headed to a point where their will be 3 basic build and everyone will run them. CW will fail not because as I keep reading "all the claners are in the wrong time zone" or " there are not enough clan pilots on at one time to defend or take territory" The Clans ill die because no one wants to pilot a mech that sucks, No one will play Clan because if god forbid you want to immerse your self in CW and run a Clan Mech with its stock or historical load out you cant and hope to be effective, so what's the point. You don't think it will happen? Just take a look at the history of CW, and the Clan Territories. or lack of. When the Clans dry up. and you are playing only IS v IS. and you are missing the Lore of the Universe we play in. Than maybe someone will get the right Idea of how to balance this game, (see above). Or someone with the ability will get disgusted enough to develop a new and better Mech game, that includes infantry , ground and air support. would gladly pay my share for that.
