Well the only good thing to come from this will hopefully be a bit more variety in some of the clan loadouts.

More likely people will just start playing the is mechs a lot more, I'm doing better in those anymore than clan mechs.

No got to get the complaining in now.
Next week people might post screenshots of 1000dmg games and it might still be tier1 on metamechs and that will make it difficult to be taken seriously.

No I agree Joseph, I don't really complain about any this. I have never been a big clan laser vomit fan, I much prefer different cheese. :) and I have never had a problem with laser vomit either, it spreads quite nicely.

But, that said, I am not sure it's a very good idea to add another layer of "ghost laser duration" to punish a particular build more than other builds using less laser, it just gets convoluted and unintuitive, and restricts variation. For me a blanket 10% duration nerf would have made more sense, it would still nerf laser vomit but it wouldn't punish 4x cERML more than for example 2x cLPL. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Blanket nerfs to chassi would only nerf the laser-part of the builds anyways since nerf was all about laser duration and laser cooldown so why not just put it on the CTs? Positive quirks on pods could make sense, but nerfs should be put directly on the chassi CTs imo.

I Blame the Kell and Yorinaga Kurita for all the Phantoms PGI are forcing in the game! :angry: Where can I find a Cleric so I can exercise all these spirits. :blink:

We've had 2 second ERLLs before. They were so worthless Russ overrode Paul and reverted the change. They're highly situational where they are now and with these changes, the LPL will approach the same duration. I don't need to play them to know what that duration feels like. It's a huge blow.

These changes are terrible.
But it's not even out yet!
I've now played it, it's terrible.
But you haven't even played it for any serious duration yet!
I've beaten the game, it's terrible.
You just don't understand the dev's vision!

You can't argue with people like this, it's pointless because no matter what they'll have an excuse ready to go on how you're just over reacting.
Honestly it certainly doesn't give me much hope when the solution to lasers are strong is now it takes longer to fire lasers, with tech that already has a lengthy laser duration. Because it was working so well before, so clearly if we just makes it even longer it will be fixed? A inelegant solution if nothing else.

Ok, I'll bite.

HBR+HBR+HBR+random 30-45 tonner. Variety much?

And when they nerf the HBR because of all the whining on forums (OMFG ECM AND LAZORS?!?!?!?!?!?), it is gonna be 3 Jags and a Cat, because make no mistake, the forums WILL explode when the Jag arrives.

Ppl use C-ERML and C-LPL because there isn't anything else worth using as clan, and they will keep doing so
until every single chassis capable of carrying 4E+ is nerfed. I repeat, because everything else sucks, period.
