You think that would be better only sometimes?

I think it would be better without a doubt, but I also think world peace, clean burning infinite energy, and real life unicorns will come around before acceptance.

As new mechs come out, there is always a chance one will be too powerful, and for the sake of balance, need to be addressed. The same thing goes for weapons. It is a never ending process as long as there is new content constantly being released. This game had a lot of complexity to it (more than a shooter with 20 guns in it), and it will always need tweaking.

It may be a bit tiring at times, but it is very common. Even games known for their balance like StarCraft II sees constant balance patching.

Its just a part of gaming.

I ditched my Misery. It's name described how I felt when I piloted it. I even named mine BuyersRemors ("e" didn't fit).

Facepalming  You clearly can not into logic and what was written

You set a impossible goal I give you a logical answer. 400 tons of Mech will always make short work of 100 tons. You asked, "What will You do if you face 4 Dire Wolves?" There is only one thing I will do if I face 4 Dires alone. I will die. it is a given. I also would likely die facing 4 of most mechs. Cause 4 on 1 odds are pretty darn steep. But I'll take good odds against one of your 20 DPS Dires. Why, Cause I try not to be a sitting duck.

To die facing overwhelming odds...

Its as close as I can get to having RoughHouse's Heavy Gauss/PPC Stalker.

Well yeah an online game is constantly evolving with new content and game modes added, new tactics becoming popular due to copycat gameplay, butterfly effect that every change you make will change other unexpected parts of the game.

When this sort of game stagnates then it is finished.

There will never be balance, Wave3 will probably turn everything on its head.
Unless you stop all new content it can't happen.

People want to achieve that one mech and then have it stay best forever.
No mmo style game whether F2P or subscription ever let's that happen.

It seems that only if one uses the A variant omnipod with other 6% nerfed arms will the TBR be less effective then the hellbringer. The TBR still has an armor and mobility advantage that must be taken into account if you are quantifying overall effectiveness.

The Ebon Jag will have even less armor than the HBR so that is a factor as well. Also still no jump jets. I'm still seeing a number of efficient builds that I know will be effective in CW for the TBR. Even ERPPCs can maintain good performance. Weapon modules will be essential though.

But hey, just my opinion.

It is Convenient that there is a new Clan Pack that you can buy to replace these old and obsolete ones.Very fortunate for everyone

El Bandito, it isn't worth it.

They are so enraged that no matter what you or anyone says, the nerf is a travesty. We have the OP claiming the Timby is dead for pete sake. The over the top ridiculousness isn't going to stop no matter what anyone says otherwise.

If you aren't holding a pitchfork with them, they go crazy.

Who knows, maybe there is some truth to it. Maybe 3% here and 6% there will really add up. We won't really know till we play the game for a bit post patch. If it's too severe, it will be altered.

I just think the The Timbies are Dead!! And Ermergerrd...Nerfs!!! posts are serious overreacting at this point...and pretty funny.

Drama queens. Oh well its entertaining. I for one dont think the new quirks went far enough. I fully expect speed and agility nerfs some time.

Yeah I try.

I can understand some rage about the TBR A though. I wouldn't even consider using it myself.

I'm aware of that but there has to be ways that don't make people feel cheated or at least less cheated. I've bought my Timberwolves and Stormcrows for C-bills, I actually regret that I didn't buy them for RL money because my time is more valuable.

these nerfs are nothing a good pilot cant addapt too and overcome stop being so negative

No point in trying to explain that to a bad pilot. They just lack what it takes to understand.

Anyway, for those who do are capable, from the numbers the quirk pass is fairly mild, nowhere near the boost you get when fully mastering a mech vs. one with no skills unlocked. Some of those red numbers will actually benefit bad pilots even if they're too stupid to understand it.

Its a business model, no conspiracy is needed ..It does happen only factor is if PGI does it .You can judge the facts and the history of a company's actions
