For me, even with weapons in them, big arms are a plus. I can survive missing an arm. Can't survive (with an XL) missing an ST or worse, getting CT cored. And I'm so used to protecting my arm or RT on my Cents and HBKs that it's not really an issue on VNDs. On my 1R I still can't decide between both PPCs in one arm, or one in each though.... there are advantages either way, and drawbacks. ( I still run my 2x PPC / 3x MLasers build on it)

I wouldn't mind the arms being larger if more of the weapons were torso mounted I think.

As for both PPCs in one arm vs one in each, that's a tough one.

If a PPC is in each arm, it allows you to be able to still do 10 DMG with the remaining arm. BUT, if both are in one arm you can use terrain better for cover and expose only a small part of the mech to fire.

Decisions...decisions.

Nova all the way, currently running an all Nova CW drop dec for t3h lulz.

Though like the Summoner, it isn't honestly that terrible, not near the level the Badder is.

My Atli. I do feel a bit embarrassed taking them even though I just love them. The DDC, S and D are all ok but the king crab and banshee are still much better.

I would like to see armour buffs on them.

As for the K, RS and the boars Head I dont know what would fix these, maybe buff the armour even more??

Since they removed the negative quirks on Victors I am again enjoying pretending to be a medium in my 400XL Dragonslayer.

Sorry, but if you have trouble in those two mechs, even post patch? It's a Bad Pilot, not a Bad Mech.

Hunchbacks, Vindicators, Urbanmechs, Commandos and Locusts are all I need.

If someone would give me an Urbie with missile hard points I'd be thrilled - I have a thing for ammo dependent builds.

Also those big honking Vindicator arms are great for soaking up damage. My AA seems to get whittled down to a CT and head laser constantly.

But Hunchbacks aren't "bad"

I hate the min-maxing numbers game that is the "meta"

I pilot my Orions with pride. Protector is my favorite, 2xERLL and an AC/20 with a BAP because why not?

Orion's took over my Jaggers as my favorite IS heavy. I love the Atlas and run similar builds in my Orions. Sure they are not the best mech around but god damn fun to play, pretty effective and can work many loadouts. But sure, not the best means bad mech now.

The Awesome and Zeus are my favourite bad Assault, the Atlas RS with 4xLL and LRM5+10 is also a fun ride.
I also enjoy piloting Blackjacks, Trebuchet LG, and Nova.
Likes the Kitfox, Panther, Orion and slowly warming up to the Grasshopper, but can't really get into Heavy and Light play style.

dragon-1n(not meta), 1c, flame all with mixed builds

Next would be my wolverine 7k set up as a 99% TT stock 8k, only change from TT to MWO one double heat sink swapped for a BAP because of PGIs "artistic license" with ECM.

Always nice to own meta players in a stock build.
