Is this Error any related to mine? I can't even get the PAtcher to finish before I get the CTD (it just disappears... and everytime I reload the Patcher I have to redownload the Patch and then the game CTD agains in 2-3 minutes)..

Have not been able to play since Tuesday...

A further 3 crashes this evening, all while loading the map or just at match start.

Somehow I missed this little announcement.

Greetings MechWarriors,

We will be rolling out a hot-fix on Thursday May 21st, tentatively scheduled for 3:00 PM PDT, with the following changes:

Addressed an issue where particles could crash the client under DirectX 11
Restored the trail effect to PPC projectiles

The estimated downtime required for this hot-fix will be approximately 30 minutes.

When services are restored you will be required to apply a small patch.

This does not address all crash problems, just the problem with DX11.

Looks at the number of 64bit DX11 users reporting crashes in thread post patch...
Hmmmmm.... Not all crashes... ? Ok ?

Over the past week I've had only 1 crash to desktop. Not sure it's a problem on their side.

I am still unable to play overall since the 19th, the client will crash right after I press the play button, so no login screen or anything.

windows 8.1
dual radeon HD 5770 SLI
64 bit
intel Core 2 Quad core Q8200 2.33
dx11

I have tried a myriad of different things to fix this and yet none so far has produced a smoking gun or PPC.for that matter. I am in contact with support but still nothing.

This sounds EXACTLY like the issue I am having. I have it on a low powered laptop running Linux, dx9, nvidia and a 32bit exe, so it probably doesn't have anything to do with your OS, dx version, display drivers or bits of the exe. Only thing we have in common is a quad core processor.

I made a thread here, http://mwomercs.com/...up-as-of-13395/ and also the support ticket #170033 about it. Please send PGI your own bug report so we might get a response at some point. So far I have waited for a week with absolutely no reply on any channel.

Might try bug reporting via twitter next, if all else fails. -_-

The client crashes for me in ONLY in CW, in worst cases: few seconds into the game and then crash, rejoin, same, rejoin, same.... It can happen in any CW map, not related to a single one.

Note that it NEVER crashes in other game modes, I can play 10 games in a row without problems. The repair tool found nothing.

It is getting worse because I was able to play CW with relatively few crashes until 1-2 months ago.

Crashes are "clean" crashes to desktop, no blue screens nor system lockups. Apparently it is related to memory usage because I occasionally get an allocation error dialog, sometime multiple dialogs.

Specs: WinXP 32bits, DX9, E6600 dual core, 4GB RAM, AMD5870.

Exactly same !!!
And i remember long time ago we had same another crash in regulars mode with "454564637 bytes error " cryengine error before PGI fix it one day ^^.

Specs: WinXP 32bits, DX9, I7920 quad core, 6GB RAM, AMD HD7970.

This seems to be mixed in with some connectivity problems.

It is possible, I noticed that it happens more frequently in the peak hours.

Hey everyone,

Apologies for the delayed follow-up.

We're looking into these crashes at the moment, but until we have further information or steps for you please switch your client to the 32-bit version. The greater majority of these crashes are only occurring under 64-bit right now.

Hi Alexander,

Note that memory allocation errors are happening also on 32 bit OSes. There are two different issues apparently.
