Under Xp it's a completely different story, There's only a stretch option. It won't look perfect, but it will not look stretched or anything just because of that aspect ratio.
If i get time tonight, i'll try to re-size it to 1440x900.
Edit - No matter what i seem to do, i can't get the grid pattern to resize correctly. I'd rather not release a 'crappy' version so i'll see about either a solid background or working with a new pattern for the grid.
