I bought a DireWhale-S two days ago, for C-Bills.

Sad face.

Ty for the camo discount though. Time to paint some more Jade Falcon mechs :)

Well, this is a month or so after Tukayyid, and an additional month or so @ a sale price of 25% or so previously.

Maybe someone forgot Paulconomy is still in effect? I mean, they didn't have enough "Clanners" on Tukayyid.

Well they wouldn't want to sell too many Timbers and Crows now would they?

Great sale !

I would recommend to buy the Timberwolf and Stormcrow - the most powerful Mechs in the game.

Gee I don't feel bad about splurging on a trio of Zeus the other day, not at all :P

May grind out a few via c-bills but won't spend that much MC in one week, just on principle.

Budget: 70m c-bills
Have: Stormcrows from 55% off challenge, no other clan mechs, and got lots of Clan modules during the only module sale, so looking to get into Clan CW.
Wants: Grasshoppers(FYI), Timberwolves, Dire Wolves, Warhawks, Hellbringers
Needs: advice on what chassis to get 3 variants of (most importantly, which variants). Or is there a certain must-have starter variant that has the best omni-pods I would have to buy anyway in order to master the chassis well?

I'm looking to get into clans prior to Wave 3.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Get Hellbringers. Great with your Stormcrows for CW.

The Wolves are in an interesting position since they have significant drawbacks (T-Wolf usually relies on energy and D-Wolf is not as mobile as you might expect), but they are both very versatile. I say stay away from D-Wolf though, since you will be tempted by ballistic boating, and it does not do jack currently. Hellbringer and Warhawk are fine too, Warhawk is actually a bit underrated since it has decent mobility and still carries a good firepower even with hardwired heatsinks. I suggest Hellbringer for the sake of versatility, although they might get nerfed later as well, but hardly too bad since they cannot boat that much. The only variant difference is the CT weapon slots, choose those that have more/different slots, the omnipods for everything else can be bought no problem. By this logic you should look at WHK B and C, and maybe HBR Prime since you will want the magic left torso anyway :D

Do the same sale for the invasion pack and I'll pony up for that.

Bitter our Timber wolf got a minimal nerf, so it's slightly less a clear cut OTT option over every other clna mech, but ultimately didn't really change much?

Cry me a river.

Contact Support, they may be willing to refund the difference.

But yeah, remember the rules:
Never buy anything from inside the game, or MC if it isn't a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, (unless there's an existing sale active) as if there's going to be a sale, damn near garunteed what you just bought would be in it.

This doesn't count for non-MC external purchases (Packages, gift store) and weapons.

It does apply to all Mechs, modules, camo, colours, cockpit items, Mechbays and MC purchases though.

Actually, I'm frustrated over all the nerfs. I bought the Wave I pack last year and still haven't Elited half the Mechs that are in it (including the TBRs and SCRs). I just don't play them; they're so underpowered. Why would I play something so boring when I can play Legos with my IS Mechs all day long and then take them out in the field and ROFLStomp Clan and IS?

Clans, in this sorry state, make me sad. :(

Really! I have most of the nerfed IS mechs (FS/STK, minor changes, they still boat lasers fine) and the Timber. Before the patch I had 2 mixed loadouts (either missle or UAC with lasers as backup) and one mainly lasers.
Timber makes downing fast movers next to impossible with ER lasers due to the damage spread now the laser duration so long. I suggest you try to hold lasers on a fixed point on a light/medium that is not standing still. I swtiched all lasers to pulse to reduce the spread. We will see how it goes with the next nerf and if PGI still avoid Thunderbolt and other IS "super mechs" (so supercharged it is crazy).
