I would like both , but as I'm now in the mech phase it would be interesting to get a single player mech game , of any kind ( commander , warrior , table top ) but Russ twitted when shadowrun was coming out too , so it's hard to say exactly what's going on , so
Rumor mill go!

Not setting myself up for disappointment. Even if they did make something like a new MechCommander game, I'm sure it would just be diluted and horrible. I know a lot of people are bitter because MWO isn't a real Battletech game in their eyes, but for my money, I consider it surprisingly faithful to Battletech, in this sad age of gaming where there are few really genuine games out there, built on real artistic integrity.
Even if they did make a Battletech game - which I doubt - I'm sure it would be something like Mechwarrior tactics.

They might be able to create something that works and could be built upon later , though I wounder if they will start with there own money or start some kind of crowd funding as I'm sure some ppl are not as willing to pay after the whole mech tactics deal if it is a BT project...

Centurion primarily for ground units
Interceptor for fighter ship play
Leviathan for large ship play
Prefect for planetary invasion that integrates all the above
