>80 Match Score with 0 Invasion (I) Variant or Gold (G) 'Mechs = 0 Invasion Challenge Points

i like how elegantly it's formulated

I'm glad I don't care about red crosses on my challenge page anymore - because I'll get ten of them because I don't own any of the Clan 'Mech variants required to take part in the Invasion Challenge...

CW event? Nope. I'll pass on this one. I kinda suspected there'd be one eventually, and it's cool that large coordinated groups get to have their fun too, but I'm not about to be their fodder. PGI really needs to get the 4v4 out so CW is a little more favorable to pugs and small groups.

Nah I broke my contract after the nerfs I rather use is mechs anymore but it's hard to get myself into a game these days with how this game is shaping up.

These events suck and so does cw not wasting an hour of my time just to get into a match and when I'm usually active cw isn't even being played.

I've read worse thought out things in the forums.

i'm going to use this event to quickly grind a free mechbay from clan wolf, the only clan which didn't give one to me... possibly will get 300mc for one-shot camos too if queues will be fast and i have ~6-7 hours to play in 2 days, actually i need gxp too

i don't care of winning/losing at all, cw isn't fun but you can get some stuff for your actual games there

if you read the details tho you get a point for every prime mech you use so you can get fore points a match

That's if you got four Invasion or Gold 'mechs though. Still going to be a problem for those that only have one. Even more so if they only have three of one chassis and no other Clannie 'mechs to speak of.

Neat prizes are not enough to sway me to get another (I) 'mech or three just to get a ghost of a chance of participating and winning them either. Partially because I'm a cheapskate, yes: but also I'd be in with three un-elited Omnis of whom would be basic-ed at best by the conclusion of the event.

Though if this event was made to sell more Clan packages that is pretty clever...since they're still being offered and all...

Sorry, but CW is too painful to bother. My unit has all but given up on it, and pugging is like banging your head into a wall.

Great to see CW promoted by way of an event, but you have just locked out anyone playing for IS to receive incentive for playing the mode. clap clap.

The founders and phoenix challenges were pus compared to this challenge. Way to go upsetting the community yet again PGI.

Be better.

There's still the personal challenges for IS players to work for. Don't know about you but two million C-bills would certainly be enough for me to go run my actually (semi) optimized IS drop deck.

Granted I'd still want to perform all fantastic-like so I'd earn even more C-bills on the side and pugging in CW is very much not that and rather painful to boot...

you serious, lol
you will probably earn more than 2 millions difference if you play ~30-40 conquest matches instead of 9 cw ones, especially if you lose most of those 9 matches

So essentially PGI is telling me that because I didn't give them $30-500 in cash, I can't take part in higher tiers of the challenge and I will forever have ten red "X" in my profile, even though I think I am sufficiently skilled player (http://mwomercs.com/...-completed-but/).

**** you PGI.

Once again PGI is giving events with unreasonable grinds for crap rewards. What makes it especially bad is people have to completely uproot & change faction. In my neck of the woods, the same time spent flipping burgers will net the equivalent of a top-teir Resistance Two pack & a top-teir Clan Wave III pack (BOTH). Think about that.

PGI needs to have smaller events with less grind, even if it's ONLY just for 3-days of Premium Time or 150MC.

Invasion mech owners get the chance for an extra 3mil cbils 300mc a warhorn a hanging item plus more.
Both founders and pheonix events had personal challenges also but only gave the mech owners a chance at a shot on the leaderboard that had f all dividends that only the top players could achieve.
ALL Invasion mech owners can easily achieve the full compliment of rewards for this. Its BS and its just another slap in the face for IS players.

unless you have 4 eligible mechs grinding 50 points in 2 days will not be easy

While the intention for this event to promote CW is good, the execution of the event makes it another, maybe, critical blow to CW and perhaps MWO in general.

By only putting out incentive for the clan side and easiing the way to brake contract, many of the competive groups will join the clans (I absolutely can understand this) to get the goodies. They will flood the queques with their 12 man goups and roll over IS Resistance. So the few die hard IS loyalist who are out defending will loose interest very fast cause of the regular stomping.
The small groups and PUG players on the Clan side will never see an defender cause the greater groups get their games first.
So this group of players will fast loose interest, too.
Maybe I am wrong but I fear that this event will be even more desastrous to CW as the Tukayyid event, which was a desaster because of the long waiting queque on the IS side.

An idea to get the event running. Combine it with an event for Resistance Mechs on IS side with the same incentives, but the challenge for the Medallion this should only be on the Clan Side and the next week or in two weaks do the same event, call it Resistance event and give out an IS Medallion for the same challenge on IS side as now for the clan side.

Acctually wanted to suggest the same. Good post JayKay!

PGI please consider this.

I really appriciate that CW gets promoted with this event...
But the wait time in queues will sky rocket with just wave I & II. CW only works if there is some balancing. Please add the Resistance Mechs aswell.
