So firstly, i think permanent contracts should have been penalty 10x times higher cbills then current, but also have 10x better rewards. With each stage (1/20) there should be higher penalty for leaving the clan/faction (as the members goes deeper to the clan), but also with raising rewards.
There should be REAL diffference between those who stays at on clan, and those who are going 7days every each clan.
What do yu think ?
I also think a golden border around faction/clan icon on the start screen, and maybe also in forum should differ perma and non-perma members.
So people could be proud of perma contracts.

Support. Also make perma-contract breaking cost MC, not C-bills.

Plus once you max a permanent contract, well... there goes all the bonus for it being permanent. There needs to be a constant supply of rewards to make it worth your time at that point.

it should be visible, in forum, and in the game, who has perma contract, and who only temporary. (and not written by words), idealy, faction/clan icon with special Gold/silver frame, or anything. It should be visible on the first sight.
And change the rewards for perma. They need some love.
Right now, all are avoiding perma. Its should be the opposite.
Give there special rewards at 10/20 an 20/20 rank. Like mech of free will, and 2000 MC for example.

As a Merc I support this from the other side. The RP players like to take slights at people for their affiliation, I am fine with that but I always have to say "I just follow the contracts". If the loyalest were marked slightly differently the RPers could rightfully slight me for being a contract jockey as opposed to being directly affiliated with any one house or clan.

hopefully, they grant perma, some love.

i also think, there should be some progress, for you, when you reach rank 20.
Or give there another 10 ranks, that will be rly hrd to get..... but grant you insane rewards.
like quirks, clan camo pattern for free, champion mech, weapons, engines,, anything

Posted this idea earlier today in the CW forum:
There is so much potential with true mercenary units. I would prefer a system with automatic generated merc contracts from the smaller faction.
First make 3 groups:
House/Clan loyalists:
And now extend the CW attack algorithm with a method to score past days performance of the single factions and generate automatic contracts for the smaller and less succesful factions.
If that's done properly, I am sure it would tremendously benefit balance and player distribution in CW. Because mercs would than be a balancing factor, instead of just jumping to the already winning factions. As a side effect, it would also strengthen the meaning of being a merc or loyalits. Because faction immersion in the current system is very disappointing.

House/Clan loyalists:
- Permanent contract
- High contract breaking penalty and 7 or more days transition period
- Gain 200% loyality points and can own planets in the name of their unit
- Work like long term mercs or hired soldiers
- 28 days working contract
- Low contract breaking penalty and 3 days transition period
- Gain 100% loyality points and can own planets in the name of their unit
- Not aligned to any faction but can accept merc contracts or campaigns
- Only 3 or 7 days duration, cancels automatically afterwards
- Severe contract breaking penalty but only 24h switching period
- Gain 100% merc reputation points

Also House/Clan militia on contract break or on changing allegiance at contract expiration should leave any gained planets with the previously contracted allegiance.

definetly 200-300% more loyality points then mercs.

Oh. My. YES.
Or go to two reward tiers. One similar to what we have, call it the mercenary tier, and a new for those who are on a permanent contract that features an even greater interval between tiers, but with much better rewards.

i think permanent contracts should get rewards based on the faction planets, time spent with the faction (up to 6 months fo example) should also be a factor
mercenary contracts should get rewards based on planets owned by merc unit and possibly some faction quests
