HBK-4G rebuilt with Clan tech. Faster/smaller engine, same AC20, CMLs, more ammo, and maybe JJ (and no, not quite the HBK-IIC). Hard to improve upon perfection. :D

Blood Asp Prime hardpoints with dual Gauss and 2 LPL, with the addition of Blood Asp Alternate A's CT for ECM and 1 JJ. Or, if you want better brawling, 2 Gauss + 5-6 MPL or ERML.

Psssst....! What if i did tell you that my source somewere on a different planet have discovered a new Supermech among the Atlai Family.

I heard it's not complete yet, but here's a leaked photo! It has been quickly taken with a potato photo camera from a Urbie far far away.

I fantasize about the ideal medium-mech design mostly in terms of rescaling. I imagine those IS 55 tonners (Shadowhawk, Griffin, Wolverine) with the same hardpoints, armor, geometry, and engine caps, but scaled much smaller. My ultimate 55 tonner is scaled more like a slightly larger 45-ton Blackjack and less like an 85-ton Battlemaster.

The BJ-1X with a C-XL295, 6x C-ERML and 2x C-MPL would be pretty damn terrifying on the battlefield. Better than a Storm Crow, because high-mounted weapons are more useful than a slim torso; you won't have to completely expose yourself to fire in the first place. A total ridge-humping champion, right there, with 42 points at 445 meters.

Or a C-XL 280 with 6x C-MPL for a huge punch at the ranges it's currently restricted to with quirked IS gear. Good god, 48 points? In 0.85 seconds? At 363 meters? Running at 111 kph? Skirmish king.

Actually, it'll be pretty damn terrifying just with a STD 280 and 6x IS ERML and 2x ERSL when those come around, because 30 well-placed points is not something you can just ignore even in a Dire Wolf or Atlas.

My vote is for FirePhractMothMonster.

Although, I always wanted to see an atlas with all 6 Chest energy points. 2RT/2CT/2LT.

Upped to 75 tonnes. 300XL with 12 DHS, almost full armour, Endo, Ferro, Dual Gauss with 8 tonnes of ammo and 6 ERMLAS, ECM, Active Probe and TAG because why the hell not.

Hue hue hue hue.

I know if we let players make mechs, there would be 19E 12B in the head with 101 critical slots for it, while being standard with a 525C XL, armored like a Union class and coming stock with 19PPC and 12 AC5s.

That's great, but it needs some bling. Like maybe the corpse of a locust hanging from it's neck.

For me I think I'd take a 55 ton shadowcat with an UAC20 that works just like an IS AC20 with doubletap, and some number of backup lasers.

Even if we got the unseen and they looked just like they were supposed to..........the marauder would be doa because you KNOW people would shoot the CT gun and you'd just die before even seeing the enemy lol

I've heard that countless times before about every single mech we have and yet somehow they never are.
