The top tier actually has their own sub-units of MS, identified as MS-R. The R stands for "Ribbed" and they are a pretty hardcore comp group within MS.

Generally SWK nubs try to get 4 or so top tier R pilots to carry them and show them how to play.

When playing against MS if you see any R pilots on the other team it's best to focus them down early, leaving the SWK players they're carrying without direction.

I Heard that MS can torso twist a light mech through 3 dropship landings. oh never mind I mean I just watched them do it again.

There are times when the dropship is a harsh mistress. You crest that hill and every blue beam is lighting you up (despite other viable targets) and it pretty much doesn't matter what you're driving at that point, or in what condition.

I heard the Mercstar/Russ romantic comedy has been picked up by Dreamworks and is starting filming in April. Russ is being played by Michael Myers as a salty old troll who just wants to start a community of trolls, but has to reluctantly go save a Princess (played by MS) from herself, after many high jinks and humorous thigh slapping the old troll comes to realise the Princess is actually a troll too. Much side splitting laughter and thigh slapping is had.

Still a better love story than Twilight.

Blackhawk Down is a better love story than Twilight.

I heard that MS will be played by the suddenly-hot-stuff-again guy from Deadpool, with a cast of supporting characters played by the likes of Vince Vaughn and Adam Sandler.

Meanwhile, his precious PUGs will all be portrayed by the guy who played Joe Dirt, in that same costume and all, but saying even DUMBER stuff, and still antagonized by Kid Rock in a six-cyliner GM product...

I heard that MS pulled a lot of their current players out of other units. Not some conspiracy to black-bag top-tier players, but rather enticed them with the promise of being part of THE cutting-edge MWO unit. And further, I heard it WORKED. I HEARD that one of MS's dudes used to be in MY unit ({QQ} RageQuit Mercenary Corps), but his considerable talent is now applied to furthering the goals of a top-tier unit.

Not salty at all, and it's a d**k move to get salty of the departure of one of your own for greener pastures. Wishing Kin3ticX all the very best, of course.

But I also hear that it's NOT just MS, but also 228 and SJR among others.

I hear that, if you get really good, someone eventually approaches you about moving up to the big leagues.

Rumors, y'know.

But I heard another rumor saying that's all BS, and that the big units are not actively trying to pull quality players away from other units at all.

Oh. And I heard that MercStar is going to be challenging ComStar to a no-holds-barred fight for control of all our HPGs, and that ComStar is afraid to take them up on the offer.

Why do you think MS players are always broke even though they constantly pick up 500k-1 million cbills in CW matches?

Hax ain't cheap, ComStar knows their market.

Eventually when MS gets slow and lazy ComStar will sell them all out to PGI and MS will be hunted out for their valuable F2P Whale Oil which is what most big game companies burn to fuel the massive servers.

The leaders of "said unit" can be found leaning against the wall just beside the PGI office reminiscent of Jay and Silent Bob. Just what I heard.
