Luckly, I have lots of fun in general queue, so whatever.

People are going to use cover, that just makes sense, so there will peek-a-boo tactics.
I agree that all the pure energy builds can get a bit boring, but really different loadouts won't change people's smart tactic of using cover.

The problem is not a Mech with 2 ML, a PPC and a couple of unused energy slots. The real problem is the Mech that trades the 7 Ton PPC for 5 ML and 2 more heatsinks.
Stacking Lasers means you dont have to worry about projectile lead, different engagement ranges, different cooldown times and ammo consumption.
IMO nerfing the omni pods was the wrong way to do it because it punishes you not for stacking lasers, but for chosing the engery omipod in the first place. A better way to get rid of laser vomit would be to give lasers a stacking penalty like longer recharge time the more lasers you actually have equiped. (Would actually make sense lore wise, as the reaktor needs more time to provide so mutch energy)
Also : They should think about adding a maxium effected numbers of weapons to the mech quirks.
Take the BJ-1X for example. It has significant bonusses to medium lasers and a wooping 8 energy slots. In its stock configuration it has 4 ML and 4 Flamer. But if we replace the Flamer with 4 more ML, we suddenly have 8 Medium Lasers that profit from the Laser quirks instead of only 4. The game basically encurages you to do this.
Maxbe people would come up with a little more diverce builds if the Bonus would ony effekt up to 4 ML.

Make a fricking consumable that is multi-use call ammo resupply
Three uses per purchase, cost 10,000 credits?
You give me that for CW and Puglandia, and I'd run way more missle and laserless builds.

This game is peekabooo all the time because of the amount of mechs in the game. Assaults can't tank out in the open because there's simply too much enemy fire coming in.

To be fair, Clan mechs can actually brawl extremely well if they are loaded out for it. The problem is, if they are loaded out for it then they won't be able to do anything at range.

This is a complaint? Concentrated fire is team work. Teamwork improves chances of winning. I am not seeing a problem with working together to end a problem on the field.

Also limited use ammo dump in CW. Maybe?
It never occured to me but running out of ammo could actually be a big problem in CW when you survive long enough in your mech.
If only you could eject if your mech were rendered useless in any way.

It has been a few months since I dropped in CW, and with this event and the recent minor upping of heat values to some of the better mechs I decided to try it out again. And, um, wow this is not fun.
The new maps especially are super cramped and don't allow for any sort of tactics. The game is simply a matter of peeking and shooting with lasers, focusing down the fastest. ECM is everywhere, so radar is useless. Basic rule of thumb is every time you see a hellbringer (most of what you will see), just target the left torso. I've heard the designers put missiles in this game, not sure I've seen them. And where could they fire anyway, we are tiny children in giant mazes of crystal or metal. I've won exactly half of the matches I've dropped in, and have hated being on the winning or losing side. There is NOTHING at all to CW other than peeking around corners in cramped maps and shooting or being shot by lasers.
It seems to me that as long as we have ammo, CW maps should be more friendly to ammo based builds. Hotter maps and more open space. Instead it is nothing but fight for the choke point, then the winning side spawn camps till we've won. Wow. Deep game there. It sucks to win. It sucks to lose. It is just an awful design.
So when the event is over I'll head back to the PUG queue. Sure, sometimes you get a roll (in your favor or against) there. But at least there you see a variety of weapons. There is no spawn camping. The maps are more open. Even in the great Nascar people will pull cool tactics setting up an ambush or lights that get really good at picking off the stragglers. Still a little too much ECM there now a days, and there are things I would wish they would improve. But overall the normal queue is a game with some variety. The smile I get when dropping with a guass build on mordor.... or an ac build in the canyons....
CW, CW is just laser-peek-a-boo online. And that is a terrible game.
Guess all of the whiners shouldn't have gotten EVERYTHING else nerfed.

Too bad you don't pay attention to these forums, lol. At each point in the nerfs, I've been one of the most vocal anti-nerf posters around.
ummmm I have more posts than you.
Names I don't pay attention to, but that was exactly the point I was making.

More posts do not mean that you know anything about any of the topics on which you post. It merely indicates a propensity to shoot off your mouth.
I, on the other hand, prefer to use my posts to help others or participate in more important discussion, such as whether something should or should not be nerfed. Occasionally I like to troll self-righteous hypocrites like you as well.
Toodles!
