Hi,
Someone posted a good suggestion on a Mechlab app for Android, IOS, windows. I thought it was a good idea but would love to know how many other people thought that as well. This idea for the app sounds interesting...

Basically some of this if possible
  • eye on our friends/allies logged in played
  • maybe some messaging
  • Native app for forum...
  • ISN News feed
  • Battle updates
  • Inner Sphere global map with overview/history
  • Our mechlab and garage
  • allow us to modify and do mechlab iitems through the app
**Also to note that apps tend to be just regurgitation of and existing feed. Something that's connecting to existing API's. AKA-Just a frontend. The hardest on the list would actually just be the mechlab integration and payment system. The most time consuming would be the inner sphere map/history.

maybe in like 2 years when the game has tens of thousands of active players...until then, focus on core competencies. Namely, making the game awesome.

It is an awesome idea, but I do agree with endless. One step at a time.

I doubt it'd be too much of a drag on developer resources. Coding apps is a totally different field than game developing. It could easily be introduced by a reliable publisher besides Piranha. Some folks are so savvy that an app is easily made within less than a week but an App of this magnitude cannot afford cut corners obviously^^

i would love to be able to tinker offline. That was one of the elements of Battletech that my group loves, but I tend to agree to make the game amazing and then add resources as we get it rolling.

They'd have to know about which would a priority and even if people are interested at all. I do agree it should be for
all of them. Any information to them about what we want can be helpful. I mean this is a F2P game and this creates a possible App for alternative revenue which would help build a tighter community for the long haul...
