I can't help but wonder how much influence does a player's weighted map rotation has on matchmaking. Most of my matches are within 75 drops between maps. Not a big difference. I also count the two version maps as one. It appears the matchmaker tries to have an individual player with similar amount of matches between maps.
Do you think a player's weighted map rotation has any influence on matchmaking?

I don't think there is such a thing, it's all random.

The used to weight the chance of dropping on newer maps so that you would drop on them more often. I believe they have stopped doing so, or at the very least stopped doing it for so long after release.

I'd be more inclined to believe it wasn't random if maps never repeated.

Random is random. I don't think Aloha and Bilbo know what the world random means.
AAAABBBBCCCC is an exactly as likely result in an evenly random distribution as ABCABCABCABC is.
