The expanded view in the new mechlab defaults to all equipment lists collapsed. That is just adding clicks to a UI that is supposed to really use large screens. It should probably default to everything expanded. It should definitely have its own settings screen and/or save all the toggle states on exit.

100% AGREED!!! For example some tabs only have ONE SUB-TAB.. there is no reason to have this one tab colapsed. Also, some sub-tab's are so small they don't require their own tab at all.. simply giving them a different background colour to differentiate them would be more than sufficient.

Excellent. How about defaulting them to expanded or making this user configurable?

Was going to make an own thread but this one is pretty much all I want to say about the mech lab. Expanded lists by default and saving of filters.
