My vote: The "owned" check box!

What is yours?

Hot swapping out weapons, ammo and equipment instead of having to drag out an empty slot first.

If you have a SRM4, and maybe drop some armor or ammo, you can just drag an SRM6 right over top of it.

Upgrading engines right there in the lab, swapping XL to standard, RIGHT THERE.

pretty sweet.

Clicking on select mech, then weight, then clan, then select to start a game. I feel my index finger is getting weak so I appreciate the extra workout the new mechlab gives it.

People crying over having to click more.

But seriously though, I enjoy the new Mech Lab.

I have to say, the "Strip Mech" and "Reset Mech" buttons are great additions. The option to have a smurfy's-style view is fantastic, hot swapping is great, the engine system took a little getting used too (but now I really like it)... And there's a host of other little tweaks that I've found quite enjoyable.

My only real complaint is that the Mech selection UI is s**tty as f**k. I wish they could have kept the old Mech selection screen, and added all these neat new features on top of it.

Overall, I think the new Mechlab is superior in almost all areas to the old Mechlab layout.

expanded view is nice

only complaints i have are about the things that are not mechlab that we are now forced to use in place of the selection features of the old mechlab. i hope those are next in line for a ui revamp.

also dropdowns are evil.
