I like the new mechlab. Its what we were asking for and while not perfect it is much better than the old one. I think some people will just never be happy unless it is exactly the way they want it in every single detail. But PGI cant design it so every single person gets it exactly the way they want sorry.

The problem is not with the new changes is with the new mech selection. Which is slower and less visual, my opinion.

New UI doesn't not show me where I've put my modules or engines over 100+ mechs I have, but I HAVE TO search where they are.

SO, the new UI sucks.

Period.

Except it is twice as easy to find them now compared to the old system.

Some features are confusing and a step backwards, but I can navigate it much faster, thus it is an overall improvement.

That's true, but I still must search, open that loadout, saving it, re-open the mech I want to build.
A lot of clicking still, and wasted time, etc.

would it be better if a window tells me where that module is, I can pick up it, and put it in my current mech, while automaticly that module is off from previous build?

And what happens if you own 30 of said module and they are all installed on a mech? Does the UI start spamming you?

the UI shows me where they are, I pick one from the list (a window like list, pop up, pop down)

Okay... so we are now adding a UI feature that does a DB query for modules then properly removes it from one mech's inventory and properly does the needed checks to be certain it isn't duplicating or filling a already filled slot on a different mech then add it to the DB record properly.

Remember, saying "I want the front end to do this." is really simple but that interface interacts with a DB with it's own structure, rules, and requirements which means features like that have to be designed front and back while the current ones they have made easier to get to don't require any change to the background or at least only minor tweaks.

It looks like they had a guy working with the UI but he was still using the same DB structure and the existing queries to get the job done.

I actually much prefer the new UI. I kinda liked the old wall of mechs because I could just pick one at random and hit "Play"

But the current everything else is significantly better. Including the new mech select because its alphabetical.

Oh, thank goodness there's actually a post about this. I was going to create my own.

Sorry community - I like the new mechlab too. Works fine.

Though, I can't say I approve of changing the AMS slot color from red to green. That's foul pool, PGI.
