this new U.I. is garbage, it's worse than what had been going for in the first place. return it to the normal U.I. that was actually right to the point . My eyes feel like they are bleeding from it.

Oh god, please give us the option of selecting the old interface. The new UI has some great things about it, but the loss of the good things about the old interface is hampering gameplay.
New UI good things:
1. Able to see which mechs have modules easier
2. Able to see which mechs have cockpit items easier
3. Loadout has all components all visible at one time
New UI bad things:
1. Select mech...too many menus, I don't know what I have, can't see quirks, don't know what mechs in my inventory are valid or invalid-i have to search through menus, less easy to select "a la carte" my mech that I feel like playing (I have almost 100 mechs, and you want me to click through and open drop-down lists?)
2. Loadout...too many words! you took away all the icons. Icons are good, easier to process at a glance.
3. Weapon comparison, easier to do in old interface.
Major design issues:
1. measure how good your interface is "in general" by how many clicks or actions it takes to get to a piece of info.
2. redundant selection. Selecting a mech requires a click on a mech and then pressing a "select" button? (At least use double-click). This is in a few other places too, where a "button" needs to be pressed and the button is really far away from the selected item.
3. visual is usually better, icons > words (its a balance, so no real good rule here, but too many words tips that balance). (Loadout is dizzying now.)
4. expanding menus hide information, especially in inventory situations (this is true in industrial apps as well as games). "expand all" may help, but the mech select page from the old-UI is better than this, that's why no one used "select mech" from the old-UI and instead used the mechlab inventory/
5. mouse-over/hover-over info is better than dropping through menus and expanding windows
I love the game, but this new UI has actually shortened my game play. It actually hurts my eyes and brain using it. Perhaps that's a good thing...maybe I'll do some exercise or read a book or start my 3rd M.S. degree, or maybe I'll stop being addicted to MWO! I'll continue to try and give the new interface a chance, but I would LOVE THE OPTION OF GOING BACK TO THE OLD INTERFACE. Do it before the wave3 and resistance2 that I bought comes out please, in fact, do it tomorrow or later in the week so I can play this weekend without being frustrated.
Thank you.

It's so bad I don't feel as though I should have to dedicate time to break down how many points of it are lacking. It feels like a job, like I'm doing someone else's job for them. The crazy thing is the pay model, I've purchased mechs and MC, I can't see how this could be that understaffed or the feedback so skewed they had no idea how changing the entire interface to an extremely convoluted, compartmentalized one would put people off. I just started MWO again and I'm still so confused. It's a gigantic waste of time to even have to come here to vent hoping they'll read any of this and do anything about it. I play this game almost daily, I don't visit the forums because I care little for what's going on here(Take a look at some of the horribly sad posts about IS or Clans) but things like this drum people like me out of the woodwork.
