So now that CUACs have been buffed (and lasers have been nerfed on TBR and SCR), is anyone else using new Clan builds they didn't or couldn't use before?

So far, I have to say... working as intended. I like the change.

I've been running this Mad Dog with great success.

2 x CUAC5 (3 tons of ammo)
4 x SRM6 (4 tons of ammo)
364 / 402 armour

Anyone else try some new Clan builds with CUACs?

Yes, I made a UAC10 Nova and was pleasantly surprised as to how well it performed. It performs even better with the proper Omnis due to Quirks, which I originally didn't have mounted on it before, but now it does, and it wrecks face. Thank goodness I didn't sell off all those Omni pods, saved me a lot of C-Bills. All I need now is the UAC10 and C-SL cool down modules and then this thing will be able to fire nearly none stop.

Try this guy for a laugh.
Total quirk is--BALLISTIC COOLDOWN: 10.00 % UAC VELOCITY: 10.00 % UAC JAMCHANCE: -30.00 %

ADR-D Big Dakka

Or downgrade the CUAC20 to CUAC10 and add 2 CERMLs, but that's less fun doe.

I've run across those before. At first I was like "How cute, an Adder with a UAC20." and then I was like "OH CRAP, An Adder with a UAC20!"

The 2 UAC/5 + 4 ERML Loki was a solid, effective build even before the buffs.

This is nothing new, but the buff makes it a thing of nightmares now.

I'm running a Summoner with 4 ERSLs (used to be MLs), 2 UAC5s, and 5 tons of ammo.

I also have a Kitfox with 2xUAC2s and 600 rounds (it's a wonderful dakka machine. With one S Side torso for JJs, I feel like I'm playing Counter Strike sometimes.

One of my DWFs also has 4 UAC10s, and it is a gnarly beast to stare down, as long as the UACs don't jam.

I've been trying to find good dakka builds on the Nova, but they are very inferior to everything else.

Ive always run my summoner very similar to this. but I do 4 CERMLS instead of 2 pulse.

RIP dual torso-mounted CUAC2 Kit Fox. :(

Do you run it with any backup weapons? ECM?

Yeah, that's more of a classic build. I was primarily looking for new builds people have been trying out, or even old builds that never worked very well before, but are now viable.

Summoner build that uses one C-UAC10 to shoot over hills or obstacles quickly before hiding back under cover. Works well with alpha strikes when combating the laser vomit builds if it can shoot a second time with the Ultra Auto Cannon. The difference in laser mounted weapons was to get a higher than 28 damage alpha that can track fast moving mechs. The medium pulse and ER medium lasers allows the pilot to not have to rely on the auto cannon when it can't maintain it's stream of shells on a specific hit box. The medium pulse is set up on the right arm near the cockpit. This allows tight and quick shots around a corner to allow the mech to quickly get back behind cover to avoid taking damage to the summoner's Center Torso when peak firing.

It's currently set up for CW but in public que it can loose one ton of ammo for another heat sink or a targeting computer.

3 tons seem as low ammo imo for 2 c-uac 5
i personally would either ditch srm or use 1 c-uac 10

nova or kit fox both can easily use 4 mgs as their back up weapon

kit fox can pack 5 mgs and nova 6 but it's not viable
