Bought my first whale on sale to give it a try. Been trying multiple sniping/dakka/cheese builds and I've settled on a nice combination. This thing has sniping power with its gauss and ERPPC, close up punch for lights and armor stripping with its 3 SMPL and the UAC5's for suppressive fire or for brawling. If one really knows how to use what weapons when/where, this build is extremely deadly. I've been averaging above 600 damage a round with this one. Only tricky part is positioning. This mech does great from 800M in.

Try it out and let me know what you think!

Perhaps you can show us how you make it work with a video?

Unless I have a gaming mouse with more than 4 buttons, I am not touching it.

a video is not going to teach you how to manage 4+ weapon groups :D

i use 6 on some of my mechs, i dont shoot with the mouse i use the numbers 1-6 on my keyboard (throttle decay off so i don't stop when i am shooting when i take my finger off W to press those 1-6 keys) i never click my mouse lol... except when i drive my cicada or other fast mech and then i cannot do what i just wrote... i have to click

The crazy frankenbuild aside...

If you're going to snipe with the Goose and ERPPC, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to put them on the same side of the mech so that they converge more closely? You also will only have to expose half the mech instead of all of it.

well my mouse button layout (i have lots o buttons) makes me put my weapons where the buttons are on the mech.....IDK how to explain. I like orienting where the mouse buttons are with where the weapons are on the mech. My sniping weapons will always take slot one and two (right / left click) so button 3 and 4 on the left side of the mouse fit nicely with the UAC5's on the left torso.

I use a Roccat Tyon if ur wondering.

Want a video? I can do that if u need.

Pro Tip: DWF Prime Arms have a negative penalty and you don't need that pod specifically it for your one, single, solitary, CERPPC...

Alright well I just recorded an "OK" match. got killed by a cheeky lolcuzt while trying to make a joke in chat, but that's besides the point. Just want to demonstrate the build. Will be posting shortly.

While I'm all for multi-purpose builds, I feel like this is trying to do a little too much at once. I feel like at any of the range brackets it can engage at it would be beat by a more specialized build. Personally I prefer to stick to two range brackets max unless I'm running stock.

If it works for you then power to you. Build diversity is never in excess and FOTM builds are a dime a dozen these days.

@OP:

Get your rear armor down to 15 and put it on front. Most of the time you face enemy from the front.

Peace

The prime arm has -7.5% energy cooldown which is pretty much for a "microquirk". The A right arm has -5% cooldown, so you end at -12,5% which would completely eat up any cooldown module (if you would use one). You really shouldn't gimp your build with it unless you need to.

If you have Nvidia card, you should use Shadow Play to record. Doesn't take much space and can be uploaded relatively fast.

Most people do not bother to distribute the rear/front armor when linking smurfy.

As for the build itself, it is all over the place. I think you would greatly benefit from simplifying your design. Some issues include: convergence issues, fragile side torsos, range bracket issues, and I can't even begin to imagine trying to charge a Gauss, double tap a UAC (without unnecessary clicks which can cause jams), leading an ER PPC and aiming some lasers all at once, it can't defend because it must stare to fire all of its weapons one at a time, and for all that it doesn't actually get much damage for a Dire Wolf.

Consider trading that ER PPC for a large pulse, the small pulse for ER mediums, and trading out ballistics such that you have either Gauss or UACs, but not both.
