Nightmare1, it's 50 buck or 35 Euro/month for the Master package, from the site that currently has the working MWO hacks that were used by the banned. Lets just say, you get a LOT for the money on that Master pack, it's a who's who's of the top online games, including the top Steam games, so much for VAC...

Plenty of women play MWO, plenty of women have played all the MW titles to date, 2 of the best pilots on a team I ran for MW2 were both women. Little secret, recruit women to your team, they are the MOST violent and bloodthirsty players around, no pity, no mercy. Just don't ever annoy them...oh man...never do that.

Um, you do know that I wasn't defending the return of any cheaters, right? I was actually griping about the prospect of them returning.
Sure I do, I was just adding more to your thoughts...

Wouldn't the Wall hack be very effective with LRMS?
No, it would only allow you to see where they are, but the game mechanics would prevent you from being able to lock the targets.

They should introduce something like Bohemia Interactive's FADE system for piracy but made for cheating instead. Detected cheaters would have their game play "fade" over time since the game is server dependent. Ex. A check at login versus known cheater list, server reduces that players damage output, speed, range, reverses controls or any number of other setbacks to the cheater. Not all at once, just steadily increase over time till they don't want to play anymore and the DEV's can still make money off the dumb a$$s. Not knowing if they are fading or not is the best part to screw with their heads.

I do not care as long as they don't continue to cheat.

These 'setbacks' would only be allowed on your team because I sure as hell don't want one on mine.

Seriously, who wants to allow people to drop and not be able to play?

I get that you're kidding, but you do know there are lots of women playing MWO, right?

I dunno, for me it would be hard to tell the difference between someone who just sucks at this game, and someone who is suffering from FADE.

In my mind, there's little difference, so why not implement it?

LONG TERM, it could actually be quite the benefit to the community as the hack software would eventually get a very bad reputation as being useless and not worth the money, and therefore people would stop using it, and no longer be induced to purchase/use it in the first place.

Exactly. A wallhack just allows you to know where they are, it doesn't actually remove the terrain.

Not at all. The videos I have seen of the working hack for MWO show you locations. Like a nametag that also has mech type on it if I remember correctly. Doesn't look like you can lock onto them. Therefore the best weapons would be direct fire like Gauss which you could charge as you see someone move to poke out, ACs, and Lasers.

Agreed. They start from scratch. Some might have learned a lesson with the lose they took in mechs and gear when they were banned. Some might choose to cheat again, I'm trusting in PGI to catch them.

I'm not going to get paranoid over cheaters and be on constant watch for the boogeyman. It's not worth my time.

I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt that they'll stop cheating, but the adage "once a cheater always a cheater" is still very accurate.

Case in point, caught my fiancé cheating while I was at Ft. Lewis for four weeks (she took pictures and left them on her laptop). I dumped her. Then she got engaged to a friend (an idiot one) who caught her cheating with her personal trainer. Her personal trainer proposed and then left her because she was cheating on him with her kickboxing instructor. Now she's engaged to her kickboxing instructor. We have a pool going between our mutual friends on whether she's going to cheat again.

Too be clear I'm talking about people caught with hacks now not going after old bans with new accounts and fading those. Unless you are grouping with the cheater since the number of cheaters seem statistically small on the last ban how often do you think you would be in a match with one? Then your looking at 50/50 if they are on your team or giving you an advantage by being on the other. I can live with those odds but I mostly pug anyway. The point is to deter them from doing it and if many are returning with new accounts ad updated hacks then bans are not cutting it.

I 100% disagree, if i was to play poker with friends and one dude would be caught cheating i would make sure if i ever saw him again at our game i would make his life living hell until he is cast out from our group or leave on his own. And in real life theres no support to defend you and ban "griefer" you have to live with the consequence of your act.

Wow man, well sorry to hear about your luck. But people like that get what they deserve sooner or later usually in the form of a Venereal Disease.

I'd also take that bet...I like my odds seems like she's 0-4. :P

On some of my jump capable 'mechs (the lighter ones) I noticed a there was no cockpit shake while jumping.

I wonder if the larger chassis have had that turned off as well...

I'm actually the only one betting she's not going to cheat until AFTER the marriage is official. Lol.

Not trying to raise a stink, but how exactly does New Account = New Player? When it's the same (already got caught cheating once) person behind the curtain pulling the levers?

As they say, once a cheater, always a cheater.

And it isnt just about "once a/always a" it's also about the lack of respect they had for those who called themselves their friends(and everyone else ofcourse) it's about their innate lack of moral, you don't grow/learn moral because you get caught.

Not familiar with how wallhacks work, so guessing you can't "lock" someone with one?

My own guess is that the people who cheats are the same who call lrm nooby weapons.

Disagree or not, PGI has already spoken on the matter.

Either way, I'd keep em under scrutiny and if anything hinky happens, send what you got to PGI.

Considering I saw you liking the relevant post, I assume you already know PGI's policy.
