Should be viable but not OP.. 65 ton armor is meh.

While the STs seem wide, I think they are short and sleek.. not a lot of frontal area.. Tuesday will tell though!

In my opinion, the Ebon Jag could be just about perfect when it comes in. Of course, none of us have had any time behind the controls of the mech as of yet, but from what we've seen of it it seems balanced. The low profile and excellent hard-point distribution come at the price of being long enough to really feel LRM showers and simply being wide as a friggin' bus.

I kinda get the feeling this one could do well with no quirks, positive or negative. Anything it gets thrown at, these elements would serve to give it both drawbacks and advantages in one way or another. Though it certainly will be good, of that there's no doubt. Just, hopefully, not too good.

Oh, to weigh in on something a page or two old: Don't raise the mech's stance any, please. Being short as hell has always been one of the Ebon Jag's defining features. Breaking something to fit with everything else being broken is not a step in the right direction.

Okay, I'm definitely sold on the MASC. The acceleration bonus by itself is worth it.

Holy crap, MASC looks just about perfect. It is more handy for rapid bursts of speed than just running... I think that is what everyone was hoping for. It is balanced by that rapid leg structure damage and extra tonnage for sure.

YTF is it only gong 84.5 KPH with MASC enabled????

10% speed tweak appears to be part of the speed boost total. IE: 10%+18.5%=28.5%. Damned near the 30% expected. We just don't appear to be getting the extra 10% we expected on top of it.

Okey ... PGI you have regained my Respect to you once again. Now i am intrested in the Executioner as well as my smexy Couldron Born. I must say you could have done it MUCH worse (RNG Mode / Permenant Damage etc.) but you made it really balanced.

I can already feel the Fear of my enemies if a 95 Ton Mech comes straight running to them fast enough to kick their shiny Butts! PGI ... you need to develop a Time Machine ... i want it to be Tuesday! NOW! :angry:

No, it should not. MASC is Run = 2 x Walking Speed. The Executioner is a 4/6/4 'Mech before engaging MASC when it becomes a 4/8/4 'Mech.

Ok, I'm totally happy with that. Definitely a workable MASC implementation in my book, and will be oodles of fun on my Scat and Executioner.

Just watched, thank you for fast response! Seems quite balanced actually, nicely done. While we are at it, couple of nitpicks about the system:

Yeah, I like the mobility it affords, but I don't "get" the reticule shake. I mean, while accelerating to top speed, sure, but I don't see the harm in being able to shoot accurately once at full steam. The degrade rate for the safe bar seems a mite slow, too, given how short the useable time is.

Still, something worth playing around with, and looks fun and functional.
