I was gifted a free Cataphract 0XP by PowerOfNapes in the Free Phract thread. I promised him to pay it forward, so this is me keeping my word.

Bought one and gifted one. I must say I had a lot of fun leveling it. I never was good at the phract before and gave up on them but since driving the King Crab I figured out how to play them well.. The 0xp has one of my best K/Ds out of the box so far even though its under the firepower meta. Trick I found is speed. 300xl and it moves out.

I know I get crap from the dolts about xl engines but if you play them right they are effective. Two schools of thought on xl's but with the phract if you only have CT left you have no weapons. Doesn't make sense to keep it standard.

I just love these initiatives. It's a kind of community spirit you encounter all too rarely. Haven't played Cataphracts yet, but as an IS fan I really should somewhere in the future.

btw i think it's awesome that some guys in the community does these kinds of things for each other. there was also that other guy that was giving away locusts, threw my name in there too (didn't win, oh well) but the generosity on these forums is a pretty cool thing to see.
