Because like the TW, which also has a CT mounted cockpit, it will expose all manner of shoulders and side torsos before the cockpit, then expose the entire upper body to fire arm mounted weapons. Given the relative profile of the mech, exposing the cockpit alone will give anyone access to all 3 torso hit boxes from roughly 175 degree arc in front of the mech...not counting above and behind the mech which would give you absurd ability to hit any specific torso hit box from almost any specific angle.

However, you would have to be min/maxing to care about that...otherwise, your average derp will wander aimlessly in solo queue in his pretty new shiny and wonder why his STs fall off every time he sneezes, especially when he puts a Gauss in the RT.

Flipside: You are free to mount a Gauss and 2 LPLas in the side torso hardpoints, which sit VERY high, above the cockpit. Total exposure should be as much, if not slightly less than, the Jagermech to peek those guns, while keeping everything below the midline of your cockpit's glass hidden.

Theoretically.

Upon closer inspection, the black bits on the nose looks to be unique geometry

Am i the only one that thinks the invasion version is going to be at a serious hitbox disadvantage compared to the non-invasion model?

in other words: you want the 30% cbill bonus...fine... but your mech should be uglier and dies more easily... facepalm.

It makes sense though... original model is created by master alex. the unique one is modelers take on being creative.

I think that concern was brought up back with the Phoenix package mechs. The response at the time was that it is aesthetic only, and the actual hit box is identical.

The unique geometry bits don't have hitboxes. IE shots go through them

In either case, I would doubt you would really notice.

Arms are also significantly lower than expected...because of proportions, they are almost waist height. This bodes poorly for those hoping for high mounts...

EDIT: $20 says it suffers from MDD syndrome in game...worse than even the MDD does too...look at those STs.

The arm weapons look pretty high, compared to say a Cataphract. You should be happy about this mech man, it looks like its going to be very strong.

The Bushwacker came to life during the Clan Invasion, the prototypes at least, which they couldn't get to work right. Considering the Cauldron Born was on the field before that, and the Bushwacker is almost a duplicate of it...yeah, it's based on the CB, the IS just couldn't get it working right until they got the schematics for the Mad Dog after a raid, and then it took them another 2 years to make it work, fielding the first working model in 3053.

Nobody else concerned about the diaper waist ice ferret syndrome?

It looks a lot wider than all the stuff we've seen before. It's like, I look at the Cauldron Born, I want to like him,but.. when I look, all I see is..

People will be coring out your CT long before they get a shot on your waist.

Also, am I the only one who's loving the look of the (I) variant?

It's more of an asthethic thing. And getting legged is not so uncommon these days..
