Can anybody tell me how to equip an enhanced narc module on my clan mechs?
I had it on my MDD before. Now, under UI 2.fail it seems the system doesn't recognize clan NARC as a NARC and won't let me select my NARC module.

yes, i do have it unlocked,
yes, narc us equiped on my mech.
yes i own that module.


Did i missed something? Is the NARC enhancer locked for Clans now?

So i tried to load Narc (IS'mech) on one of my ravens and the enhanced NARC module is visible and ready to equip. yet, it doesn't show up on any Clan'mechs equiped with C-NARC.

I'll repost this on the Feedback board. If anyone has an Idea or a Workarround...

You forgot... are you using MDD-C Side Torsos?
EDIT: Oh... and you have NARC Ammunition installed.
Have you tried the usual Tech support possibilities (up-to-date drivers installed on the MDD, Tried rebooting your MDD. If yes, then please call the Clan help hotline on the HPG network with the specs of your MDD and be prepared to wait for the next customer hotline AS-Tech or Elemental to come online)

No! I'm using both MDD-A Sidetorsos for maximum lurmness.. and yes i do have C-Narc and Ammo (yes narc ammo, duuh) installed.
The MDD is up to date, last system update was on 15.12.2963 (pretty much the release build, tho).

I tried to call the Tech support, but as soon i said Mad Dog they laught and told me to drive a Timber instead. I replied that i insist on the Mad Dog because i want to bring LRM to the Invasion and they laught even more.

I also tried to ask an AS-Tech who's running arround here, but barly could say Mad Dog an LRM in one sentence then he slapped me.

It was the goddarn mounted weapons checkbox! doesn't work properly, check save uncheck save.. until it finally does something.

I don't think Enhanced NARC works on clan narc.

You can fit it into a module slot for both Clan & IS, but it doesn't pop-up when you have "Equipped weapons" filtered, which makes me think that it doesn't work for it.

With IS narc, when you have enhanced Narc, you get a totally different NARC projectile, its a smaller looking beacon but also has a bright tracer on the back to make it easier to judge your lead when its fired.

Clan NARC with or without Enhanced NARC doesn't have any affect on its appearance like it does on the IS one, and I can't honestly say that it has a higher velocity.

Would be great if PGI would take a look and see if C-NARC ever got coded in to allow for the Enhanced NARC module.

Enhanced NARC works on both IS and Clans.

The difference though is that Clan NARC is still superior (increased range - though not exactly usable) and the tonnage/crit savings would allow you to put one in the head (though, no Clan mech with a head missile hardpoint is available currently).

Well when I pick any IS mech with a missle hardpoint, and put NARC on it, the Enhanced Narc module shows up in "owned items" & "mounted weapons" when filtered.

When you do it for a clan mech, you put the NARC launcher on any mech with a missle point, the module does not show up when you have filtered "owned items" & "mounted weapons".

Which just reinforced my thought, that Enhanced NARC, while it can be equipped to a module slot in both IS & Clan mechs, it was never coded in to function for Clan-Narc, so it doesn't show up like it does for IS mechs nor does it change the projectile or offer the same bonuses like it does for IS NARC.

Something easy enough to have overlooked with everything else going on.

Should be an easy fix for PGI.

If it's not listing for both Clan and IS, then it's a bug and thus should be reported.

i think Enhanced narc module works on clan mechs (easy, test it on the trainig grounds.. measure the active time)... been using it for almost a year now.

in the new mechlab it does not show up in any categories when filtered. you need to check "show all" to find it.

Uncheck all the filter boxes and fetch it manually, there's the same problem with AMS overload.

To anyone who finds this thread: NARC module does NOT work on clan NARCs.
