Wish we could have one of those.

Between backing Star Citizen on Day 1, a few in store purchases , and being a subcriber , I've spent perhaps $250 on the "game" so far. I'm happy with the progress and look forward to the released product.
Cheers.

What were you thinking?
I wish i had $1600. I would never spend that much of money into any game. Star Citizen is much worse though. Some invested the highest tier to stroke their e-penises.
I don't tell you were to spend your money on, but good lord if you have spend more then a $1000 on -any- game you just have lost track of how much has been spent and the true cost of what you are buying.
But hey if you like to spend alot of money on pixel mechs and digital pixel money, be my guest. I could understand if you own a super quality pack of BT (Or any 80's deck in hq) cards and have a mighty collection which are fairly unique. But dem computer pixels and dem digital muneysz? Naw man.
Money spent getting laid is not money wasted.

Some people value money less. If you make $100/hour, or $150/hour (as some common highly paid professions can), then spending $100 is no big deal, and even $1000 isn't a big deal if spread out over a year or more.
When I had an allowance $20 was a huge amount I'd hoard and spend carefully. Now that I have a paying job, I spend $20 on a dinner at a restaurant easily.

Yet you choose to insult them.

$1000 is just 4 hours of work, before taxes, for someone making $250 an hour. And $100 is called "lunch".

I pity you for even needing to spend money on that.

Like i said then people have lost their reality.
Even when i have $1000 in my hand and i would need to hand over $20 for a dinner i would still call it expensive and or atleast try to avoid spending that much.
Would rather spend for under $5 on a complete homemade meal then giving it out like that.
It's like buying small items. One small items may not costs much to you. But tenfold and then at the end of the month you see that all these small item are pretty costly when you sum it up.
I never will get those people undervaluing real money. Like gamblers. I guess i never will.
I would rather help te poor then shelling $1000 on dead pixels.

It has to do with income, and the cost of life. I live in an area with one of the highest costs of living in the USA. Money is straight up worth less here, and the average income is higher. When I get ingredients to make myself a coldcut sandwich it still manages to run $3 or so.

Is there much to do at this point? I'm not worried about what they promise I just want to know if there is really a game to play.
Even if its lame TDM like MWO

I would rather sometimes loose a little money than not see the game survive. How many hundreds of hours of game play should we get for 50$-200$? (or free for that matter?).
Video games are still one of the least expensive entertainments. Heck, how much per month do we pay for Cable TV?
One night out at the movies cost more than a game we may spend hundreds of hours playing.
(On the other hand - WOW! a thousand bucks?) At least MWO players got their 500$ Gold Mechs.
