Oh good I was right it is Nova size. It has same armor after quirks, so it should be a great mech since Nova is pretty decent right now

Am I wrong in thinking the Nova's oversized and the CB is undersized?

I mean, the Nova leg reuse seems startling.
They need to crouch it down like they did with the CB. It has the same leg models so it shouldn't be hard to do at all

It was brought to my attention that the CB would actually be easy to side core.

I think this may be countered a bit if one were to use high mounted weapons to peek with in the side torsos... as the weapons would at least be @ cockpit height level.

Seems to me you have to work through the arm to get to the ST if someone is twisting well.

I don't think that's the case.

The mech itself is less not humanoid and the arms are like "stubs" instead of arms like the Gargoyle/Executioner for the purposes of shielding.

If anything, it seems more like the Warhawk, where the arm does little to nothing to shield oneself from damage to the side torsos. Actually, it's quite like the Nova in many ways (arms aren't optimal for shielding torsos).

Sure! Here it is!

Seems like it should shield, at least the Side Torsos a bit.

I'm not sure you understand. Look @ the Warhawk (if you have one) from the side. If you shoot "above the arms" like where the CB's missile racks are at (which, I'll immediately remove for the sake of the hitboxes), there is space... kinda like the Catapult or Timberwolf to hit it from the sides.

That arm isn't big enough to shield properly.

Wow. That Cauldron-Born got hit with a shrink ray. Like, no joke. That thing is ridiculously smalltastic. To the point where I honestly think it reduces the effect of its otherwise gangly frame - it's such a small gangly frame that its arms don't look nearly so wide anymore. I mean for Bob's sake it covers significantly less visual space than a NOVA.

The Executioner looks to be about right, methinks - it was always described as being one of the tallest 'Mechs ever built, but it's also fairly slimmed-down with a surprisingly narrow/lanky frontal profile. The legs don't look nearly so crazyballs humongous from the front, though it's still got more crotchplate than torso. We'll have to see how the hitboxes fall out on that one, but I'm not sure it can be truly awful at this point with that narrow, Victor-ish waist pulling its hitboxes in. A distinct lack of gutflab to shoot off puts it in a much better place than the Awesome, at least.

That's why I picked the catapult as an example. The arms aren't big enough to block shots, except for part of the STs. As far as I know we don't know the torso twist range.

From what we see it'll be like the catapult, able to hit the ST or CT from a pretty wide range.

Love the way it looks but I am extremely disappointed in the size
Yes I think it should have been smaller than the storm crow
Its just as small if not a little smaller than the Nova
I feel is like undermining that entire chassis
We now have a medium that's the size of a heavy
And a heavy that's the size of a medium

So, 3/4ths the size of a mech 5 tons lighter than it? Ok, PGI, now you're just F%%%ing with us.

They won't touch mech scaling But they will touch animations
I think when it comes down to it and they're going to tweak the ebon jaguars animation
So it will stand taller and I think that's how they're going to bounce it later on

Does anyone know why smoke jaguars have so many cool mechs?

Direwolfs (they stole if from the wolves)
Warhawks
Ebon jaguars.
Storm crows
Arctic cheetahs

i mean... how the hell IS could annihilate them?

Same way clans lost the war......in fighting and their stupid honor code of combat. Had they played it properly, skill, tactics and thrown their own Epeens out the window...Terra would be the new Strana Mechty no doubt. Kerensky would be the ruler of the IS. All the noble houses would be wiped the hell out.

It would be pretty funny if the EBJ got a "Medium" movement profile, seeing how the CTF and JMA have it and they're not as short as the EBJ. Just another cherry on top of the already indulging metacake.

Maybe I'll actually name my prime "Metacake".

But I'll probably just go with "Meta-born".

To be fair, the Nova is way too large - so while the Meta-born is amazing small, being put next to such an over-scaled mech like the Nova just exasperates it.

The executioner's scaling is right where it should be. Cononically speaking, it was made to be the tallest baddest looking thing, kind of rolling on the same ideal as the Atlas: use fear and intimidation as a weapon.

on the side of the Ebon Jaguar / Cauldron Born...My god, its tiny, AND its deadly. This mech will definitely be replacing most Hellbringer and Timber Wolf builds, forcing Timber Wolf to use it jump jets, and Hellbringer to utilize its team support role due to its higher profile.
