Do you share the same optimism? Or do things like MASC make you worry?

Then, a bit past CBill release and before the next mechpack becomes available, theyll get nerfed down.
Business as usual.
But Id suspect the CB to become the new masterrace and the Exes to be highly situationally OP/UP.

Trash? Dunno about trash. Something like LPL+6ERML+26DHS, with Banshee style form, jump jets, 72kph out of the box, 95kph MASC. It's basically a laser vomit Timberwolf loadout with more cooling, higher burst speed, comparable agility. And without crippling laser nerfs.
Not as flexible as many Clan mechs (it'll have to be laser vomit to be really effective, as it lacks tonnage for ballistics) but it'll have the speed and agility to get up close, and the form factor to tank damage well.
It may not be awesome, but I really don't think it's going to be trash.

well that would make them the exact opposite of MWo's predecessor in MW4 mercs.. the Executioner had a foul, but well earned nickname for a reason... not because it wasn't good.. more because the most used mech.. period. There was a reason for that.
That reason being it completely ignored TT construction, which MWO's Glad follows to a T.

You'll have a hard time doing something like that.
You have 1 free crit slot and 3 free tons with that loadout. It will also run hot.
You'd be better off with a Ballistic and ~20 DHS without the LPL, or going dual LPL to get the tonnage while limiting heat to damage. Unless you want a size 4 TC...I guess you could go that route, but not much gain.
Maybe I'm wrong, but use a Whale to test that heat. (required hardpoints+tonnage+crit slots)

Can actually fit 1 LPLas and 6 MPlas with 24 DHS just fine, actually. That XL400 gobbles up a lot of the external dubs. The Wubshee from hell. :3

It's only a 380XL; only 5 slots in the CT.
26 is the max you can get, with 3 tons remaining.
25 is what the Timby uses for the 2 LPL 3 ERML, which runs reasonably hot.

380? Whoops! Still, all the same, it still manages to fit that loadout. Ran the sucker through megameklab just to double check, but it works out.
