I have been hearing that we still have mechbays which limit our mechs, but I'm at a loss as to where to actually find this number and figure out how many I have.

I believe you have to go to the store now and click mechbays to see how many you have left.

Ah, good. It shows mech bays left: and the option to buy more. Bit roundabout.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to sell mechs.

I must also express my distaste for the new UI, and my preference for the old one back, which was understandable, intuitive, and user friendly.

If it is still the same as before you need to go to inventory on the home menu. There you can see all your owned mechs and choose which ones to sell.

All you need to do is go to the Store tab and select the mechbay option.

It could be found on the left hand side, above the premium time while looking in the mechbay. Which is above the money.

In this image I have 175 mechbays owned, and 13 empty.
This is before the "updated mechbay" tab.

Now it seems...

I can't even find out how many I have (total) now. Just how many empty ones I've got.

(...I wish I tested the new mechlab before it came out a little more thoroughly in the public test server; if I saw this I would have lit a fire under some dev's rear... I like bragging about my mech count).
