either fix those damn Clanner hitboxes or the IS Laser hitreg...
can't stand this **** no longer... 5 times 2xERLL plus 4 MLaser to a clanners CT while he is overheated and his sidetorsos are (still armored) Yellow....
instead of this damn ********, i get hit by clanners pulse lasers while torso twisting like **** and my CT is open by one hit....

Ive pumped lots of 50+pt alphas in a shutdown light with little to no damage done because HSR decided he stopped somewhere different than where the model is. Thats what you most likely encountered. It happens.
Doesnt matter if damage comes from a clan or IS mech, not the slightest.
Inaccurate/broken/bugged hitboxes can be found on IS mechs too.
Hitreg/HSR is bad, for both - IS and clans.

A Stormcrow came in and started brawling with me, circling my mech. I put 6 AC/20 rounds into that Ryoken, point blank along with shooting him with my lasers. Crosshairs turned red on every cannon shot and they looked like they hit it. The best I could do was turn some of his armor orange, I never even made it to the internal structure.
I should have done over 150 points of damage to that Stormcrow, but because of their wonky hitboxes, less than 50 damage actually registered. It was like every single shot with my cannon either went right through or bounced off without ever doing any damage. I fired my 20 into his mech at less than 20 meters and even shot him twice while he was overheated and shut down. The only damage I got was partial damage from my lasers. Something is seriously wrong there. AC/20 hitreg is bad, but not THAT bad. Everyone knows Stormcrows have hitreg issues and don't take damage from most of the shots fired at them.
The laser quirks only effect certain builds, they just switch to other weapons. If PGI isn't going to fix their hitboxes or give them mobility nerfs, they should add negative armor and structure quirks to the clan mechs that don't take damage right. Make it so the few shots that do register actually do something.

yeah but lights always had the ****** up hitboxes... i know how it feels BUT what i see every day, if some clanner shows up and just hits me once with his pulse lasers (mainly pulses) then i'm totally screwed right away.. on the other hand not even a single clan mech, doesn't matter wich one eats the damage i put into these fricking mechs.. never.

As for the op, I don't think they ever fixed the overheated hitreg issues. Where the mechs stops when it overheaats isn't always where it is on the server they said.

Wrong thread, "Carry harder" is the line to cancel MM whiners. This is about hitreg.
Carry some questionable teams that MM assembled? Thats a challenge.
Fighting broken core mechanics? Not a challenge, just bad gaming experience.
