Personally, i'm hoping for something to be done with Merc units, i'm hoping for smaller, quicker battles (4v4 and 8v8) and more strategic depth to the map and game modes - attacks on supply lines, maybe the capability to attack behind enemy lines at a disadvantage etc. Having a useful use for unit coffers would be nice also.
I'm liking the foundation of what we have, but it needs far more depth.

- Planets actually be worth something and have unique quirks. For example one planet could hold special factories which make it cheaper for the owning faction to produce PPCs or something. Or have special variants of mechs assigned to them.
- Just something to make it worth to own and conquer planets
- Trading if possible. Say you have control over certain planets and others don't, but they want the stuff you are producing there, you could sell it to them.
- Better contract system for mercs. At the moment everyone is just a Merc. Needs fundamental changes.

Excatly this. I hoped for a dynamic GC mode when CW was announced, but that never happened.
And what is left of CW is very daunting to invest time in it.

Sounds like turning MWO into Eve-online.
A little "persistent value" and "depth" is a good thing, but not to the point of trading and production and stuff.
I have played Eve-Online for many years (while studying) and trust me, you only want to have Eve-Online if you're either a student or unemployed.

To really get my interest in CW it has to have.
Differences between Loyalist and Merc, far more than just a faction loyalty boost.
Loyalists get far more benefit from fighting, better perks, free travel costs etc, better pay, but less choice on what planets they can fight on, and if they change sides they get flagged a traitor, can't fight as a loyalist in that faction again, and get a bounty put on them, that would give a money reward for solo mercs
At least decals to grind for and hopefully camo maybe part of the loyalist and merc rewards.
planets taken effect the 'economy' .
This to me is far more important than new maps, solaris, 4v4 8v8

Friend of mine has a job in a German car company as a section head, in a technical department, EvE online is the only game she plays

Russ said they "started working on it" back in Feb but still no word which tells me it is just on paper right now. No tweets or anything so I doubt we see it in 2015 which is too bad since they need CW to be more than another game mode (TDM with 4 spawns)

- Planet classes: urban, resources, industrial etc
- Factories on planets enabling the purchase of certain mechs.
- Real economy for CW separated from pugland.
- Supply lines and transportation.
- Player-defined governments affecting the meta game.
- Freedom to attack any planet assuming the attack can be supported by transportation, supplies and resources.
- Small planets reserved for pug players only.
- Mechs belongs to governments and placed as garrison on planets, unrelated to players-owned mechs.
- Taking planets increases taxes income for factions: more military purchases enabled.
- Jumpships and dropships.
- Planets with specific maps, no random.

Russ will declare CW finished and a complete success (on Twitter).
Servers shut down a year later.
PGI execs make the Forbes top 100 billionaires list.
World hunger eradicated.

- Pilot Levels. (or some kind of deeper character design)
- New Skills tree. (Pinpoint skill replaced with something useful)
- Increased Lore in-game.
- New CW Game-mode. (or rather, enhanced game modes)
- Manufacturer Weapons. (weapons with quirks, basically)
- Automatic C-Bill bonus rewards per faction population. (so PGI doesn’t have to manually adjust them)
- “Contracts” for Merc Units.
- 4v4 matches for smaller units.
- Command Rose/Wheel. (better commanding tools in general. Such as hovering over a player name in the Battlegrid and being shown his location)
