Hi, I usually play assault, heavies, and mediums. But when I play light mechs it is firestarters and jenners, although I did get a raven 3L when they where giving the champion away in a weekend event. So with that I need to work on mastering the ravens (I plan to get the Huggin when it goes on sale for the third). Now that brings me to my questions:

What is a good build that can be used for sniping on the Raven 4x? I have thoughts about 2 ERLL using the jump jets to get into hard to get places. Or put on a single ERPPC and some close range weapons as a back up. If anyone has a good build for sniping please let me know. I have currently tried two different brawling builds, but I just have had no luck with them.

I got the 4X as my 3rd Raven (already had 3L and got Huggin on previous sale). Not a sniper but I use it with 2x LPL, JJ and largest engine you can cram into it. Don't have my build at hand but should be something like this:

Taking into account it has +30% range and -30% duration on those lasers (plus the bonus from modules) you get more than 1000m on those LPLs with a short firing time. It plays very differently to the 3L and most days I prefer the 4X to my 3L (except maybe on CW).

I am using 4x with 2 x LL + 2 x ML. Working great for me.

I dunno about "good" builds but the 4X is damn fun to play with a big gun like a Gauss or AC20. Or an AC10 if you want to be slightly less horribly slow. Ballistics get just as good of range quirks as lasers do, so...
