Asymmetric balancing is a much more interesting way to achieve the same end. I would have much rather kept the lower stance on EBJ and compensated with some slight negative quirks, for example to acceleration/deceleration and torso twist range and twist rate, to further differentiate the EBJ from the other clan heavies as being the less maneuverable, emplaced tank destroyer of the bunch.

If you want a slower, clunkier tank destroyer, wait for the Nova Cat or Night Gyr, both of which have a top speed of 71 kph after speed tweak. Those are the slow heavies you're looking for. The Night Gyr is actually available in our current 3052 timeline, as a matter of fact, and has ridiculously scary capabilities... Maybe it could even be our Clan Wave 4 preorder mech?

The EBJ however was built to have mobility comparable to the other Clan heavies, as indicated by their shared top speeds. I just don't get why agility is the go-to nerf of choice for so many people regarding just about any mech in the game...haven't we learned from the Victor and Highlander?

It's real simple folks, as I said in my first post in this thread.

QQ over the height of the CB was instant and widespread, constantly whines about it being shorter than a Nova and that's NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!1!1!!!!

Or did you MISS those threads on this forum, reddit and the tweets?

PGI responded to the outcry, they raised it 1m in height by adjusting the stance.

IF you whine and scream and cry about something to get it changed and it gets changed, why are you surprised?

This is how we get nerfs, do you want nerfs?

You talk about this change in aesthetics as if it's an answer to something OP in terms of gameplay balance. Balance can be achieved in a multitude of ways. If you ask me if I'd rather have numerical nerfs instead of one that compromises the exceptional art, then yes; if a lower stance in fact makes the machine perform so much better, give it a numerical nerf.

Just to reiterate: I do not ask for the lower stance to become more powerful. I do it only because it looks so much better that way! The main thing this game has going for it is aesthetics, so let's not compromise it when balance can be achieved in other ways. Aesthetics first, then balance it around the great art!

Why was this changed? It looked good, now it doesn't. Why show something that looks good, only to take it back on release day? I will never understand...

you right, it's false advisement.
PGI have a bad reputation of not delivering what they show and promise.

reason i voted in dec never spending a single coin on MWO ever again.
like they did with the king crab business showing it in faction skins while it's not available in it.
