I'm not sure about entitlement but they defiantly have unreasonable preconceived expectations...

"All mechs much be equal to if not exceed any previous iteration offered or it is by default a failure"... This is the preface so many players are propped with when assessing mechs and it's laborious to try to explain to them what a myopic and detrimental position it is to take.

If the above happened and each mech was stronger than the previous?

Claims of P2W

Claims of Powercreep

Would fill the forums.

the solution is...Dont preorder anything from PGI..
wait till months after its released when they nerf it
and then you know exactly what your getting...

Or better yet, they could stop feigning disenfranchisement for being mislead when many of the points of contention were easily gleaned from multiple sources.

Playing the victim is not the same as being a victim...

Oh, no doubt... And it would further destabilize the game mechanics and obsolete 90% of past iterations.

Lemons are not that bad. Perhaps it's just your taste, isn't it?

umm personally love my GAR's, SMN well we dont even need to go there the entire community is on the same page there.....

as for EXE from what ive seen it suffers from a MASSIVE CT dmg transfer bug currently, apart from that i am looking forward to the day it drops for c-bills,

To be fair to the OP, there was some waffling prior to release on whether or not MASC was going to be locked equipment. A week or two ago it seemed we had landed solidly on it not being locked, which would have potentially freed up 4 tons for weapons. Then release day it was, "Surprise! It's locked!".

On top of that, it's difficult to predict how well the hitboxes and geometry will play out on a new mech. And as we all know, it can have a big impact on a mech's survivability.

That said, I didn't really have high hopes for Gargles big brother, since they're essentially cut from similar cloth, so not a huge surprise it's not going to be a big hit with everyone.

Difficult to say if that is actually True or not. Some Testing might be, is definitely in order, to verify one way or the other, but it might explain why I feel safer in my 80t Victor than my new 95t Executioner. ;)

It's the same with the Mist Lynx, the original fail mech of the Clans.

The Mist Lynx is a very good mech in very capable hands. It just means you do not have the right stuff to run it.

It's funny to see that by each pack we have little gems of these threads.

It needs a CT hitbox pass, its stupid-low 70 degree torso twist range increased, and of course the old running problem of HoverJets being terrible doesn't help anything.

I literally almost never hit the jets, they are too slow and sluggish to bother with. It actually struggled to jump from the water to the citadel on river city. 8 tons of hardwired jets and it struggled to do that. I wish they would fix them...

The Executioner has a HUGE F***en ct hit box. This is killing the mech as well. I mount the same firepower as a hunchback. It's a joke mech.

Your hunchback has a 68pt no ghost-heat pinpoint alpha?

Damn, what build are you rocking?

I am thoroughly enjoying mine.

I don't really know where to begin..

People are looking more and more like self-entitled kids.

PGI announces a mech, they give the details and show pictures.

People pay what PGI asks for what they will deliver.

PGI delivers what they advertised and somehow people thought it would be different....

Then comes teh requests to change the mech as they see fit at the moment.

All this in less than 24 hours after getting the said mech.

About the refund, you can try to get one but PGI has delivered it and you have used the digital item as it was supposed to be used (in matches). I would guess.... you wont get the refund.

I agree. In general I'm seeing "cry, cry, sniffle sniffle, cry", from a number of people who try a mech and for whatever reason believe it to be "junk". Sadly, most get their ass handed to them and blame it on the mech.

Learn the mech and use the mech for what it is and can do. Dont try and make a mech something it cant do by virtue of design. An Atlas is not a scout mech per say. A Spider is not a front line attack mech. Some mechs can do multiple roles thanks to generous designs (Timberwolf, Trebuchet, etc), others are more role specific.

This "junk" Executioner is just fine, dont try and make it a Dire Wolf and you just may have some success with it.

Oh, and the lot of you snifflers need to grow up a bit and realize no matter what the sun will indeed rise tomorrow morning.

So, a higher torso twist range and smaller CT make it more like a Dire Wolf?

IT'S HAS ASSAULT MECH FIREPOWER AND MOVES LIKE A CICADA AND TANKS LIKE 3x ATLASES!!

Executioner with roughly the same tonnage?

"Barely more firepower than my Summoner."

Alright, I admit...I had a serious LOL at this one...

Um if you did any actual looking at the Gargoyle and Executioner you would have seen there is not a lot of weight for weapons on either chassis. Never has.

Love how this is PGI's fault and not the Construction rules or the game since TT or anything...

Been having a great time with 3 lpl's or the u-a/c 20 and meds. Even pulled 3 kill and 700 dmg with it on my second CW drop with it! (3 lpl one)

My personal issues have nothing to do with pod space or construction rules. Its a mixture of large CT and pitiful torso twist range that I dont like

its CT does seem a bit LARGE and the lack of arm actuators and such on the laser heavy pods coupled with lack of torso twist does make this thing kind clunky feeling.

It's quite simple, stop face tanking so hard(torso twist) and front load more. Honestly the mech as it stands right now is a work of art. It does not have too much firepower, does not have crazy hitboxes and great mobility. I find, with masc I am able to move and swing my arms enough to defend against most CT ****. That is of course because... Zell to win

As a clan Metacutioner pilot, I love lights who go for my legs, as they have full armor and never suffer from masc damage. Joke is on you :D
