The A right arm has 4E and an elbow. I don't even use the D RA pod; this 'Mech suffers from twist issues enough without sacrificing arm articulation. Use the A arms and the B RT, get eight energy to mess with and get some extra elbow articulation to boot. 8E is enough to make a perfectly viable Executioner. Like so:
EXE-PAB, Pulselasers Model
See? Threw it together in, like, two minutes. Could easily be better optimized - for one, you could actually allocate armor properly, but it's Smurfy nobody uses Smurfylink armor layouts. Anyways. Got a cLPL for ranged poking and a Penetrator pulse battery for rekkin' fayses in tighter quarters.
It's not a pop-tart, no...but pop-tarting with an Executioner is such a colossal waste of the 'Mech I can't even put it in words. Learn to M.A.S.C., mang.

Well then you'll have to wait, and buy it with MC when they become available...
Imagine, the gall of PGI, making you spend money on the game...

Snark aside, the D will come available for C-bills eventually as well. I don't blame anyone for sidestepping the game's atrocious pricing scheme more effectively than I can. Spending habits are nobody's business but one's own.

You and me both... we must be doing it wrong??? lol
That's all fine and dandy but why don't you share your builds so the op can learn from you and how to set up his Executioners. Just a thought

I was complaining about exactly the same
Want to purchase the D omnipods, but nooooooo, because of some arbitrary reason.

Actually running the Prime stock, the only EXE I haven't messed with. How I pilot it I am not sure I can teach the OP. Load-outs only take you so far. You need to know how to use them to be effective.
My favorite of the release is the EBJ C. That I put 2xC-LRM20, 2xC-SSRM6 and 2xC-MG with ammo to spare and CAP. That little bugger wrecks face.

Executioner A I'm running with 6xMPL, a TC6, +7 heat sinks. It works, D Pods not needed.

Unfortunately I could only afford the Executioner Package right up until the deadline so I didn't
get the additional variants. That would be no big deal if I had at least access to the Pods.
Its not really an issue with the E-Jag but its a serious issue with the Exe.
I have tried various builds now but none are working. The reason is simple really.
The Exe is the king of poptarts. Nothing else will work on it. It's designed for poptarting
so it needs to be equipped for that. But you cannot do that without the D-pods.
This is my ideal build for the Exe if I had the D-pods

This is the only build that IMO strikes a good balance between heat management and firepower
while also making use of its prime selling features and lessing it's low slung arms problem.
I really hope PGI makes the D-pods available soon, until then I will only pilot the Exe for the daily
X2 Xp bonus. It just doesn't cut it without the D-pods.

TL;DR: In order to be effective, I have to have TEH MAXIMUM LAZORZ PODZ!
Dude, seriously? Learn the mech, make it effective. Yes it might be under armed compaired to some mechs, but for ***** sake man, the HBK-4G can only mount 1AC20 and 3mlas, and it can still absolutely wreck face.
The only thing actually holding you back, is your own preconceptions about a chassis, and the artificial mindset that you need TEH MAXIMUM HARDPOINTSU!
