Sibko Clan Pilot should learn the ways and skills of a true honorable pilot, there so he needs a good all rounder with good heat dissipation ability.

So, I think this will do eddgen up his skills: TBR-PRIME

P.S. I think METAs lead to degradation of people in this game, they become utterly useless piloting anything else. Not even talking about how that it kills the Battletech experience - might as well replace arrays of weaponry with a single gun and remove customization and loadouts. <_<

6 Clan Medium Pulse lasers. - 48 Alpha - 5.74 DPS
27 heat sinks
Full armor
2 jump jets
With the range module and targeting computer it has close to 400 range.

This build is very effective and is easy to use for new players. It has good heat, good fire power and good DPS.

Let's do a hero before a champion. Hero Timberwolf "Pryde" - I cannot think of a better Hero Timberwolf outside of the ECM Bounty Hunter, that would be too OP!

http://www.sarna.net..._Wolf_(Mad_Cat)

A non-standard alternate configuration of the Timber Wolf, this configuration was famously used by Star Colonel Aidan Pryde. The primary long range weapons are a pair of ER Large Lasers which are backed up by a pair of LRM-20s for long range combat. For close combat, two ER Medium Lasers are carried as well as an ER Small Laser. The Pryde Configuration also mounts four jump jets making it highly maneuverable.

A simple newbie-friendly laser vomit build built on the stock TBR-A chassis.

TBR-A

2 CLPL in the high mounts of the LT
4 CML
TC1 primarily for the faster targeting and crits
441 armor
40% heat efficiency per Smurfy's

Ideally the default trigger config would have the 2 CLPL in the high mounts on a separate trigger to reinforce that they can (and should) be used separately. I've also left more back armor than I would normally run since newbies tend to get surprised more often than veterans.

TBR-S + TBR-C left arm quad (torso mount) S-SRM4, quad (arm mount) ERML, 6tons ammo, 6 dbl heat sinks, 5 JJ.

There might be better quirk options for this build with other omni-pods but the TBR-S torso omni-pods offer the most versatility for rebuilding.

Now ,knowing meta builds are great and the best builds out there. If one of these mechs is chosen for a champion/ trail mech, shouldn't it give a new player a good look ALL of the weapon categories that are available? When they are ready to purchase their own mechs then they can say "I liked the laser aspect of the mech , I wonder if it would be good with a more energy focused build , hence the incentive to buy a timber wolf and tailor it to their OWN play style or preferred type of weaponry on the mech.

No, it's better to give a new player that experience by having them play different champion mechs, not by cramming every playstyle into one champion mech. Teach them what a good build is before letting them experiment. Focusing on a specific playstyle is more fun, effective, and smart.

It's the complete opposite. In almost every pvp game out there it is just far smarter to focus on a playstyle rather than running around like a headless chicken trying to do everything. You never learn to get good at anything if all you play are all-rounders.

Also about your build, if you have two different types of lasers in the arms, you should always put the same types of lasers in the same arm. Having 1 ERLL in each arm and 1 ERML in each arm is just silly compared to 2 ERLL in one arm and 2 ERML in the other. Splitting them removes your ability to poke effectively and you're more likely to waste your shots into cover.

@Repassy. I agree. So once again, what is the purpose of creating it, if it can already be done.

Here this is one of my favourite Timber Wolf configurations, "Ghost" (inspired by Jon Snow's direwolf):

1 Gauss, 2 LRM10, 4 ERMLs , versatile but still accurate; my own variant of the meta Gauss vomit TBR.
