I have three but after mastery only play the best (for me) 6 SPL with ECM or 2nd variant that works for me is 6 ERSL with ECM, no targeting cpu but an extra heat sink. For me the assassin factor of an Arctic Cheetah cant be beat. Don't try to tank anything get behind heavy's and listen to them cuss. Easiest mech I have found for raising your Kill to Death ratio. Get behind many mechs right up close with 6 SPL and one blast takes them out. On a Dire or Warhawk it takes two bursts. I generally get one off and run and come back a minute later to the second death blast.

I agree with you. 6spl is definitely the best loadout for the ACH. I have run that mg setup when I get bored and want to have fun. I have gotten kills too since the 4 spl still hit hard if you get a full burn.

I've had success with four builds that all work PRETTY well (all have ECM)
6x SPL that everyone likes... probably the best build but not the only viable one
the alternative which is damn near as good is 5x SPL + TC... That one runs slightly cooler and still packs quite a punch
2 ERLL is also a solid build as a heavy escort... It's less fun but you end up doing quite a bit of damage and you have really high mounts to hill hump easily with
