-> defeat 6 - 12
ant this goes on all the weekend for me. so maybe I'm not that good as i think, but im certainly not that bad to be the reason for 18 losses out of 20 games.

Tell you what, keep complaining and see if things improve... Or, you can keep playing and see if they improve. Which do you think has a better shot of improving things?

About the tenth time you have posted that.
Gotta love sensitive skin on a man/boy.
Mud - If you've watched that video, you should have a good idea of why you and your team lost that match.
First off, your Highlander build is terrible. 3 LRM10's and 2 AC5's. He wrecked you easily because you have an XL engine and only 2 AC5's to ward off a brawler. What do you expect that build to do when you separate yourself from your team as you did in that vid? That build is ok if you stick with your team, but you didn't and you paid the price.
Second, note the builds of your teammates. Notice the Catapult with 2 LRM15's and TAG? Terrible build.
Thrice, note the Catapult at the beginning who was caught alone? Yep, he died quick.
I know you will blame sync droppers and hacks, but that game alone shows why MWO is where it is. Bad play by the players.
You had a terrible build for being caught alone. Your team mate had a generally terrible build, only LRM's. And another team mate was left behind, either he was capping or was slow to leave spawn. You had 3 players, yourself included, who ultimately brought their team down.
But yeah, hacks.
I will complain about this game as well, but place the blame where it belongs; with the clueless player base.

PUGs generally don't get lead to victory, best you can generally do is nudge them in a direction and hope they amble towards it. I've seen plenty of solo queue teams just straight up snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

That build came about as joke build and I still have fun with it. Have fun with others too.
I know my limitations and driving non meta mechs is part of that. I know I could be a better twitch shooter too. One player does not carry a match. That's all besides the point of the thread though.
Its about staggering runs of losses and the reasons for it. I say its not Elo or MM but other gaming it. We know this is the case (66ah) and we know the numbers (64) just scratched the surface. Now that's out right cheating.
I am talking about the lesser evils of exploits. Synch dropping is one always told was impossible to do till I did it repeatedly for a month telling each team we dropped against.
We know of the low graphics bug exploited heavily so anyone who just peeked a corner to have a PPC or gauss shot to arrive at that instant from 500 mtrs plus knows all about how it works. How many times do you see the seismic excuse there? I want 500mtr seismic too.
These are knowns. Its not rocket science yet you want to ignore the elephant in the room. MM and ELO cannot account for that.
It's my opinion that's the biggest imbalance to runs of losses. No amount of get better can compensate for that. So instead of discussing ways to prevent it and improve many of you would rather ignore it. Is that herd mentality speaking or cover? Over time since 66ah I think many people are changing their views in favor of cover seeing as their lead had a habit of spouting the identical poo many of you do.

Just kidding, but yeah, you have good days and bad days. Overall the goal is to have fun and if your not than go take a break for a bit and come back to play later.
Playing at different times seems to have an effect on the matches you get. I play from the west coast USA, and when I get some games in early in my day I see a lot of comp players and/or just good players in general. Playing during prime time east coast is a different story...

9 guys on your team managed to do less than 350 damage total.

Stomped the other team in minutes flat with precision concentrated fire on each target.
Pugs don't do that. Its always chaos in the beginning as everyone gets their bearings or chat and or voip gets chatter then the team coalesces into a unit. Even on the best pugs teams concentrated fire is hit or miss unless targets are called.
Solo's can't learn fro the experience because they haven't a clue to whats happened or what they witnessed. Then they come here and some liar tells them no one synchs into solo and to get better.
Sorry its the exploiters destroying the game, not PGI. This is a simple truth, One no exploiter wants you to understand.
How do you know that the other team didnt use voip/chat?
Yes Mud, we all know by now that anything that kills you is cheating and exploited to do so. Made that clear.

I see your stomp and add a team with 1 (one) person above 200dmg.
Even though my team won, it was a bad match. Not fun to play.

@topic:
On my alt account I got 3 wins out of 24 matches today. Something must have happened with MM though, Im suddenly getting dropped with and against names that are definately not on my (lack of) skill level.
Its not just the constant stomps taking the fun out of playing but also that pressing the "play now" button makes me feel extra bad for bringing 11 other players to a huge disadvantage. Whatever team I get put on, it can be considered to be one down from the start.
Again, I dont belong in that skill/Elo range. Neither can nor do I want to play there.

Let's see
Matchmaker
Something must be broken or needs changing. I am surly not the best player and neither the worst. Therefore I wonder why I often end up for 15+ matches straight with people who are really really horrible. And I am not talking here of mediocre players (I consider myself that) but heck people who do not know even left from right.
Some great stuff from this weekend:
- The Classic: Zeus moves up behind my Raven which is firing at the enemy. You all know how the story ends..
- Team nascars around Caustic despite the other team "cheated" and crossed the caldera and ate our slower mechs and still the idiots ran on while the team melted away
- Teams which do not even move forward and suddenly the noose is around their neck and they get outflanked. Oh, poor scouts and brave souls who dared to move before. They were thrown to the wolves first
My best loss was, though, when I did 4 kills (2 of them solo) and about 990 dmg and we lost 7:12. That was the moment when I wanted to bash something
AFKers
Is it so hard to be active when the game starts? This weekend I had so many matches were I had often 1-2 AFKers. But hey, why not have a kick option like in certain other online games where someone gets replaced if he isn't responding to a window within a certain time after the team marks him as afk.
Sync Drops
It is soooo fun to face sync drops who try to push certain members of their inner circle to the top leader boards. Those are also responsible for those stomps
It is equally entertaining to see someone of your team (or not just one of your team) lets himself be slaughtered by their buddy to push them up the ranks like in the event two weeks ago.
Sportsmanship my arse!
Aimbots
Please do not pretend that there aren't any more cheaters. When you move at 152km/h and the other dude is about 700m away on Caustic and hits you 3 times in the RT in a row while you are twisting and feinting to throw off his aim and he himself runs across rocky terrain (lower slope) and the last gauss hits you when you are just over the hilltop then you know something is fishy.
So, rant off. Won't change anything until PGI moves and I doubt they have the resources for it.

I just think it's hilarious that you choose to believe that there's a mass conspiracy of sync droppers trying to kill you, instead of facing the fact that you aren't nearly as good as you think you are.
And then you accuse others of thin skin because you'd rather lie to yourself than take an ego hit. The irony is strong in this one.

sad part? Does Sync Dropping Happen? Sure. Some units try it pretty regularly. And When HardCorp tried it, they (we, technically, though I chose not to participate, usually) We could get a 1 in 4 success rate, thereabouts. But the actual number of people/units doing it has always been pretty small, and even smaller these days. Though there were some "Comp" teams and wannabes who used to claim they were trying to drop against each other...which always seemed pretty flimsy.
What made it so pathetic with Mud, is his all match, every match paranoia. Even during the height of it, I doubt I ran into it more than 1 out of every 20? Though some tryhards did always try it more during event weekend, to try to stack and skew results in their favor.
Sorry Mud, but you run bad build, you lose a lot, no Sync Drops required.
