Hey guys,

Every once in a while, I see something about this mod pop up on the forums. Is it worth it to download? Do people even play it (meaning, can you actually find a game)?

I found this installation guide https://docs.google....r0Jh5JAx8/edit#

which seems to sum things up quite well, but I wanted your opinions and cautionary tales.

It takes a bit of doing (please, for the love of all that is PC gaming, read the instructions CAREFULLY and don't rush it) but it's worth it in the end. I play now and again. There aren't a whole lot of people on now that GameSpy crapped out (even though there is a fix) and PGI told the MW:LL team to Cease & Desist.

It has quite a different gameplay than MWO. I would try it out. Perhaps the community will grow again.

Mind you, it's 100% free. No ability to buy "premium time", mechs, etc. Everything you get you earn during the match.

Good advice. Can you just roam around on your own? Or must you play in a match with others like in MWO?

You can create your own private server (with essentially max Cbills when you enter a command) to test the mechs out, or you can go online and play with others.

Great! I just finished dowloading the game about an hour ago and spent some time running around. I really like what I've seen of it so far! The game really has that 'BattleTech feel' even though it isn't as slick and polished as MWO.

For now, I'm off to bed as it's almost 4 A.M., and I need to get some regularity in my sleep schedule

Welcome new mechwarrior and yes. It is still a Beta so every thing won't be as polished as MWO but we hope you enjoy your time on MWLL the player spike is indeed on the increase now that we have support from the community team was well as large player base streamers. Any way welcome too MWLL enjoy your stay and blast some enemies.

I appreciate the warm welcome! I'll certainly make the time to play tomorrow ^_^

When are the best times to play and when is peak player activity?

Looking forward to seeing you in game
