Didn't play a lot since the patch but the thing I noticed is that there are no spiders anymore. Might be because of the event though, it's all huggins and maybe an ember.

I have noticed that spiders are no longer able to run into a 12 man pack like it was nothing. They go down a lot quicker now.

They do seem to take damage better (thank god) They used to be able to run through an entire enemy team and not even have the paint scratched. Was getting really old playing "Chase the spider" at the end of matches too.

Have to pre-aim Spiders by a whole mech length (~110ms ping) but then, it regs. It still eats about 3-4 times the firepower it should be able to withstand, but its a little better now, yes.

I dunno ... I generally have zero problems hitting spiders at range with my guass cannons... most tend to fold quickly when I blow out a shoulder due to the XL engines. Even hitting them on the run is about the same, really. I just try not to fire at a laterally moving fast mech. Once they start pushing 90kph+ and ducking around, it becomes difficult for me to properly lead them.

As primarily a spider/light pilot myself, I have yet to experience the new patch. However other spider pilots I have met make the mistake of slowing down below 100 kph - which make them easy to hit.
Probably don't have to say this but the key to a light is movement - constant, fast movement. A lot of light mech pilots I have come across stand still/move too slow too often.

Perhaps this might be why they seem easier to hit? Perhaps a fault of the pilot, more than changes to the mech? Even still, if the hitboxes have been fixed then it will eliminate these kinds of light mech pilots - that use light mechs like mediums.

Mommy!!! they keep running around to my back side and shot my buttock. *whine* *whine*
