Picked up Misery during the sale, and getting it Basic'd up has certainly lived up to the name. Looking for another two variants to get so I can get to work on Eliting, but which one?
I'd like one of them to be an LRM boat and I'll think about the other when I get there. Won't mind too much spending MC on them, so the 3F Champion seems like a good start?

3H has 30% LRM20 cool down and 30% heat gen quirks.
42% with cool down modules.

Niiiice. Think I should bother with a TAG or NARC?

Tag is practically a must with LRM's.

I have not tried it but 42% CD and 30% HG seems like it would make a pair of LRM20's decent.

LRM5 Cool Down = 3.25
LRM5 Heat Gen = 2.00

LRM10 Cool Down = 3.75
LRM10 Heat Gen = 4.00

LRM20 Cool Down = 4.75
LRM20 Heat Gen = 6.00

With quirks:
LRM20 w/ 30% Cool Down = 3.325 (Practically LRM5 cool down).
LRM20 w/ 42% Cool Down = 2.755 (Faster cool down than LRM5's).

LRM20 w/ 30% Heat Gen = 4.2 (A smidge hotter than LRM10's).

Here's how I'd run it.
STK-3H Without ENDO
STK-3H With ENDO.
STK-3H More Ammo.

Thanks for the input!
I'll rework my Misery build, running an AC10, SRM6, 2 LL and 2 ML atm and getting utterly ruined every game (possibly because I keep getting left behind in the open and/or because I'm too used to mediums and fast-ish heavies).
I was thinking a laser vomit Stalker as the third one, so the 4N was a serious consideration

I dusted off my Misery and settled on this build since it takes a lot of punishment and doesn't overheat very often. Before I had 3 LLs and it was just too hot...

I didn't bother changing the armor values in Smurfy so don't have so much rear armor...

I used this misery build to utterly dominate this past weekends contest.

I would stay away from lurms on the stalker its a waste of the mechs awesome hardpoints and the tonnage/armor of an assault. If you really wanna lurm check out the hunchback 4j or Trebuchet 7m or maybe a catapult.

I was actually all set to get the Catapault bundle for lurming with, but the sale came up and I couldn't resist. The armour distribution is totally different to what I usually do, definitely giving me a couple ideas

What's the weapon grouping like on that build?

I run a mouse in the right hand and a PS2 style controller in the left hand... not really standard but anyway:

Group 1: LP laser
Group 2: AC20
Group 3: Alpha Strike or Serial Fire MPs (switch it on the hot maps)
Group 4: Medium Pulse Lasers

Slightly related note, what do Stalkers look like with the weapon doors open? I've petitioned for an option in the mech lab to be able to toggle them but whether it's ever implemented I dunno
