the dwf is the best assault in the game. the TBR is the best Heavy in the game. Clans cost more because they come with better equipment out of the box (XL, DHS, ENDO) . Even with negative quirks they still easily outgun good IS mechs and completely crush the ones that are considered lower ranked.

I did... most are still ranked at the top of the list even with the nerfs.

As if that has mattered for this mech at any point? Its probably the best mech in the game so I am positive the lack of a 2nd weapon slot isn't hurting it.

This was quick math and could be slightly off but, 8 out of the 35 IS mechs have a variant that can equip ECM, about ~23%. After the wave 3 mechs are all released, clan will have 6 out of 16 mechs with ECM capability, roughly 31%. Never mind the fact that you can move the ECM omnipod to any combination where IS is stuck with just the 1 variant.

If you consider the upgrade costs of DHS, Endo, FF, and XL engines, the prices are roughly the same. Do not get fooled by the cost of IS mechs since they rarely come optimized.

As you bring IS and Clan mechs into balance, are there any plans to bring their costs (especially package costs, but also c-bill costs) into balance?

When can we expect to see Clan Hero mechs? With the new Timberwolf Champion in the works this and a statue cockpit item are the major stumbling blocks to releasing Mastery Bundles for the Clans.

Is there any chance of a second CW loyalty reward tier to encourage/reward those players who are permanently aligned with one faction? How about a reward tier for those players who choose to be Mercenaries rather than the current practice of rewards based on who they are contracted to?

Making in-unit trial mechs with unit coffer. Have you heard of that idea? What do you think of it?

Invisible walls is the most annoying thing in the game currently, are you aware of that? Any solid plans on fixing that?

Question 1)

Will you please switch the group queue to 4man max team size with a limit on either tonnage or chassis? Currently I do not play much group queue, but if this change happens I will! It is much easier to field a 4man than a 12man.

Question 2)

When will the 4man CW element be introduced? What will it look like and how will it funciton?

Question 3)

What is the one feature coming out in the next few months that you think will have a drastic improvement on the new user experience? When this game comes out on steam, we need to have everything in place to ensure a high player retention.

When will we have PVE? I would pay for modules/missions/co-op play through a story mode.

Detecting an aimbot that moves your aiming point to a specific point on the screen is one sort of problem or hack. However, detecting a hack that auto-registers full damage wherever you want it because hit registration is client side ... is a completely different kind of hack. Putting essential game balance and hit registration code on the client opens up entirely new orders of magnitude of hacking. So ... no I don't think this is a good idea ... I can't say whether PGI would agree or not.

One of the ironic aspects of the situation is that hit registration issues actually mitigate against aimbots ... even with perfect aim they won't always hit.

Finally, only PGI knows how easy or hard these are to detect. My suspicion is that it might not be very easy since a process with the proper permissions is likely able to sample video memory and insert I/O commands that would appear to come from mouse and keyboard. The hack would analyse the screen image in real time and move the targeting cursor and possibly also fire weapons in response to player input. Aiming could be made easier if the hack also adjusted the MWO textures to make it easier to identify target points on the opposing mechs .. but that would require changes to MWO data in memory or on disk that might be detectable. If a hack doesn't touch the MWO client or data then I think it might be very tough to catch.

Are there any new developments toward PvE content, single player or otherwise?

Specifically, do you have actual plans in the pipeline for Co-Op play such as "Last Stand", missions, or campaigns?

1. Same as I put on Twitter -- When can we expect non-content CW features?

a) Planetary Rewards

b ) Deeper Faction/Loyalty Rewards (i.e. partial ownership of faction, etc.)

c) Community-driven contracts/attack lanes

d) Unit taxes

e) Unit emblems in the start screen (PGI has their yellow cow skull ... why can't we pay a few MC for it?)

f) Unit/Faction emblems on our mechs (PGI said before they basically had it done, just working on a way to interface it ... so where are we on that?)

g) Diverging mech price economy (faction loyalty points dictate 'discounts' or 'penalties' on purchasing specific mechs)

1) Can time of day be completely random as opposed to have locked time like we do now? The vid you posted suggest that it would be possible and very cool.

2) Stock mode would be awesome too!

3) Will there ever be solo queue for CW? Can't mercs be hired to defend a planet?

2. Has PGI ever considered hitting "the big red button" and resetting the entire game like they used to do weekly in Closed Beta? Basically call a mulligan and give people the opportunity to decide what content is the most important to them. Return the MC value of all purchased content/premium time, return the C-Bill cost of any items bought F2P (or set the C-Bills to 25 million new player bonus), reset all garages, set all skills to 0, give Founders their Founder mech (and allow package owners the option to opt into their package mechs or use the MC value for other content), and say, "go get 'em".

I think we will get the -10% ballistic cooldown for the Double Gauss variant, and the -10% energy heat for the laser setups.

given what you said about timber wolf and storm crow i dont think you own and played either of it or you wont be saying this, of couse it matter , the timber wolf ans storm crow usually face IS super quirked Mach in CW. The IS don't bring less than the Best quirked Mech.

Will mech legs form to the terrain? For instance; say my mech is standing on a hill. One of the feet is just floating on the air while the other is planted on the top of the hill. Would the leg on the top of the hill bend slightly so both of the feet are on the ground? Sorry if this isn't worded the best.

hello, my questions

are there plans to:
  • do fixed heat cap and same internal and external heatsinks dissipation
  • balance IS weapons (ml needs to be more heat efficient than ll, lrms are useless with increasing spread and broken ecm)
  • unlock clan equipment and upgrades, then balance clan weapons vs IS
?
