Decent Builds For The Gargoyle

As a challenge, I decided to give it a try, mainly because I'm a stickler for punishment and playing underdog mechs, while also seeing if I can build it to be a potent piece of machine for a fast 80 ton assault.
This is what I got.
Goliath
6 small pulse lasers, an UAC10 with 3 tons of ammo, plus an srm4 with 1 ton of ammo. Been having some pretty good success with this build. Main reason why I think the Gargoyle Prime is having difficulties is that 20 tons ain't much to work with, especially with ballistics for such a limited amount of space. But, if you consider that the Gargoyle and the Thor are very similar (20 tons to work with for weapons, for example), it ain't that difficult to bring Thor builds onto the Gargoyle. They're practically almost the same, other than the Thor having jumpjets, and the Gargoyle having more armor.
Anyone have any other decent builds they've found success in with the Gargoyle?

It does have a niche when weight class is the limiting factor (instead of tonnage) and a team wishes to close the distance quickly.
Anyways, it is a fine pugland mech. Here are some of my favorite builds.
LPL + 5 ER ML
Gauss + 5 ER ML

My fave being the Prime with 2 LBX2 (or 2 LBX5), 2 SRM6 (2 SRM4 with LBX5s) and ERSL or ERML depending on my ammo.

Then it got quirked to handle like a Stormcrow. Still people are shortsighted, so they just whined that it didn't get broken IS-like weapon quirks.
Then the TBR and SCR got their best builds nerfed, and people either went to the HBR or different loadouts without much thought.
The Gargoyle is in an amazing spot right now. I'd argue it's easily in the running for most effective flashlight build post-TBR nerf (the other two being Ebon Jag and HBR of course). I run it as follows, and with the improved handling like it more than the pre-nerf TBR:

THEN cACs got buffed. The cUAC/20 benefits the most, being the punchiest, and already having a short ideal range that minimizes the need to lead. I haven't tested it enough to be as confident in this build, but it's tons of fun and very effective in pub games if piloted right:

I've also been trying out 2x UAC-5, 2x ERML, since chain firing the two ACs is a great distraction and has good potential for sustained damage, but I personally can't get as much damage out of it thanks to low pod space for ammo; I still haven't gotten used to compensating for the burst fire on clan ACS, especially versus smaller/faster targets.
2x LPL and 4x ERSL has also worked out once I got used to the heat management.
I like the GAR a lot and having started MWO in a DGN, it was easy to get used to thinking of the chassis as a big heavy (like thinking if the DGN as a big medium) and playing accordingly. I just wish the damn thing were shorter.

SCR Gauss w/4 CERML
HBR Gauss w/4 CERML
TBR Gauss w/5 CERML (personally I skipped JJs and ran 6 and more cooling)
People like to **** on the Summoner and Gargoyle but both can easily run Gauss w/4 CERML. The Gargoyle even gets Cooldown quirks and velocity buffs for the Gauss rifle.
However, my favorite and best Gargoyle build is the D with 12 SPL and 24 DHS. You just have to avoid open areas and always stay near cover but within your range you will easily own anything in this game. The limited range assures this build will never achieve "meta status" but damn is it fun and rewarding to play. This 'mech does not own my damage record but it is the only 'mech I have ever made a serious run at the "Death Star" achievement (12 kills in a match) with, falling short by 2.

My first build I take on Boreal and Grim, both cold brawly maps.

For everything else, there's the classic C

6 SPL + LB-X 20 seems like a good starting point. Unsure about the other two variants to get but I'll tinker about

6 er mediums and 6 er smalls,tc1,heatsinks
8 smalls and uac10 + 3 tons
those have worked well for me,61 points armor to the legs, otherwise full armor.

We barely won and that thing made 800+ damage. Gargoyle is pretty rare sight to begin with, and such laser vomit Gargoyle, wow. So I have no idea if it's good but it's definetly worth a try.

Yes, it's a Gargoyle GAR-D 12 SPL build. I've played that build before and made impressive numbers. I remember my best one because we dropped on Alpine and before we started I told my team that I was sorry I was going to be useless because I only had SPLs. By the end of the match I had 6 kills and 1103 damage.
Here's the build (though with stock f/b armour): GAR-D
Another build I like is this one (the GAR-C arm means -30% jam chance): GAR-PRIME
